E-commerce Marketing Trainer
Remote, Part-time
The short version
What this role is about: Delivering e-commerce training, mentoring students, consulting on real brand problems, and staying ahead of how commerce-led marketing is evolving across marketplaces, quick-commerce, and D2C ecosystems.
Who we’re looking for: Someone with strong experience in e-commerce marketing is non-negotiable, along with curiosity, analytical thinking, and the ability to simplify complex ideas for new audiences.
Why you should apply: This is a role where you’ll create visible, industry-level impact while continuing to deepen your own understanding of e-commerce marketing. You’ll help shape how India’s next generation of e-commerce and growth marketers are trained - while staying closely connected to real platforms, brands, and growth challenges.
About us: Kraftshala is India’s largest higher-education institution in terms of marketing placements, with a 94% placement rate, and we are gunning to become the world’s largest career launchpad across domains.
We’re backed by eminent investors including ex-unicorn startup founders and CXOs from RedBus, NoBroker, Nestlé, and Performics.
The detailed version
Kraftshala runs India’s largest marketing program (in terms of placements), called the Marketing Launchpad. This is a 100% live, job-linked program which serves as a talent pipeline for agencies such as Publicis, Dentsu, IPG, and Hiveminds, as well as brands like Nestlé, Nykaa, Google, Lenskart, Zomato, and 500+ others.
Unlike conventional programs, Kraftshala updates its e-commerce curriculum rapidly, sometimes every month - to stay ahead of shifts such as the explosive growth of quick-commerce, the expansion of marketplace advertising platforms, the increasing role of AI in retail operations, and the convergence of growth, marketing, and category management.
You'd be responsible for ensuring our programs remain cutting-edge, practical, and deeply industry-relevant, such that students can add value to recruiting partners from Day 1.
What you’ll spend your time on:
- Training & instruction: Conducting regular live sessions for small and large cohorts across topics such as marketplace advertising, quick-commerce strategy, catalog optimisation, pricing, and growth levers.
- Analysing outcome metrics: Leveraging placement data and early job-performance insights to identify gaps and continuously refine curriculum quality and admissions criteria.
- Developing academic content: Combining insights from your own hands-on experience with conversations with senior e-commerce leaders in India to create clear frameworks for marketplace growth, paid ads, assortment strategy, pricing, and visibility. You will experiment with tools, platforms, and real-world case studies to keep training current.
- Upgrading training design: Using instructional design principles and technology to upgrade student projects, engagement formats, and assessments, while building repeatable playbooks for e-commerce growth.
- Consulting on live projects: Guiding students working on e-commerce and marketplace projects with partner brands, ensuring they deliver strong business outcomes — the primary signal recruiters look for.
Must-Have Skills:
- 3-8 years of experience in driving growth for brands on e-commerce/D2C platforms like Amazon and Flipkart through paid ads. (We are not too fussed about the number of years. Experience is simply a proxy for capability, which is what we really care for).
- Enormous curiosity for marketing in general and the e-commerce function specifically
- Ability to simplify complex ideas and communicate their essence to new audiences
- A willingness to add value to every partner you come across.
- A structured, data-driven, user-centric approach to problem-solving
Good-To-Haves:
- Experience in driving growth for brands on Quick-commerce platforms like BlinkIt / Zepto
- Inventory forecasting & planning, and P&L management of a category
