About VFX

VFX Financial is one of the UK’s fastest-growing FinTechs, helping complex organisations move, manage, and protect money across borders. Built for specialist sectors, multi-jurisdiction structures, and high-compliance environments, we support businesses whose needs go beyond standard banking. We’re selective about who we work with because exceptional service requires focus and commitment.

With six international offices, five regulatory licences, and an 83% CAGR over the past three years, we’re scaling rapidly and earning industry recognition along the way — including the Financial Times FT1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies 2026, CNBC UK’s Top Fintech Companies 2025, Wealth & Finance FinTech Awards 2026, and the Business Growth Award from Business Awards UK.

Behind it all is a team of ambitious VFXers united by collective ownership, a focus on growth, and a shared passion for solving complex problems.

About the Role

Business applications at VFX support critical operational, client, and control processes across the group. As we scale, these systems need to be reliable, maintainable, well governed, and capable of supporting increasingly complex business requirements.

The Dynamics 365 Engineer will design, improve, and support Dynamics 365 solutions and business process automation, with a particular focus on Power Automate. You will work directly with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into practical platform solutions, and take ownership from discovery through to implementation and production support.

This role is suited to someone who combines strong technical capability with clear communication and good judgement. Experience in application engineering, .NET, APIs, or middleware development would be valuable, but it is not essential. What matters most is the ability to build robust, scalable solutions that improve how teams work while maintaining the reliability and control expected in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
Dynamics 365 & Power Platform
  • Design, configure, develop, and support solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • Build and maintain Power Automate workflows for business process automation and system integration

  • Work with Dataverse and the wider Microsoft Power Platform to deliver maintainable business applications

  • Troubleshoot Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and Power Automate issues, including workflow failures and data inconsistencies

  • Translate business requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans

  • Explain technical concepts, constraints, risks, and trade-offs clearly to non-technical audiences

  • Take ownership of work from requirements gathering through implementation, release, and support

  • Produce clear technical documentation and communicate progress, risks, and decisions effectively

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and support teams throughout the delivery lifecycle

Integrations & Application Support
  • Support integrations between Dynamics 365 and internal or third-party systems

  • Work with APIs, connectors, and connected business applications

  • Assist with investigation and delivery of integration components where required

  • Engage specialist application or .NET engineers where deeper middleware expertise is needed

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • Strong experience with Power Automate, including workflows, connectors, error handling, and monitoring

  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

  • Ability to take ownership of work from requirements gathering through implementation and support

  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, or connected business applications

Preferred
  • Background in application engineering, software development, or systems integration

  • Experience with C# and .NET

  • Experience building or supporting middleware services, APIs, background processes, or integration components

  • Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, or API Management

  • Experience developing Dynamics 365 plugins, custom connectors, or Power Apps
