A leading global IT consulting firm is supporting a major Consumer Goods & Retail client in a large-scale Data Loss Prevention transformation programme.
We are looking for an experienced DLP Strategy Consultant / Solution Architect to define the client's target-state DLP capability and ensure consistency across multiple parallel workstreams. This is a strategic consulting role focused on architecture, governance, stakeholder management, and enterprise-wide design rather than day-to-day implementation.
Your responsibilities:
Design the target-state DLP architecture across endpoint, network, email, cloud and collaboration platforms
Define DLP policies, data classification strategy, detection logic and operating model
Ensure alignment across security engineering, infrastructure, data governance, legal/compliance and business teams
Lead architecture workshops and facilitate technical and business design decisions
Advise on Microsoft Purview, Zscaler and Symantec DLP architecture, coexistence and migration strategy
Produce architecture documentation, decision records, reference designs and roadmaps
Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, balancing security, compliance and business needs
Requirements
10+ years of experience in Data Loss Prevention, data protection or information security consulting
Proven experience designing enterprise-scale DLP solutions from strategy through architecture
Strong hands-on knowledge of at least two of the following:
Microsoft Purview (Information Protection / DLP)
Zscaler (ZIA / ZPA / CASB)
Symantec DLP
Strong understanding of data classification, sensitivity labelling and content inspection
Experience designing DLP across endpoint, email, cloud, web and collaboration platforms
Experience facilitating senior stakeholder workshops and driving architectural decisions
Excellent communication skills in English
Nice to have:
Experience in Retail, Consumer Goods or FMCG
Knowledge of GDPR and other data protection regulations
Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CIPP/E, SC-400 or vendor certifications
Experience with Insider Risk Management
Exposure to Zero Trust and SASE programmes
Enterprise data discovery and classification experience
French language skills
Previous consulting experience in large international programmes
