About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations – Provider Performance to establish and execute a holistic provider performance strategy across all of Lyra’s clinical service lines. In this role, you will lead a high-impact team operating at the intersection of clinical strategy, data analytics, and operational execution. Your mandate is to optimize provider performance which will further drive clinical quality, client access to care, and business results.
As a strategic player-coach, you will partner closely with Service Line leaders, Clinical Operations, and Data Analytics to build scalable data infrastructure, operational tools, and executive reporting. You will translate complex performance insights into actionable dashboards and operational systems that drive data visibility for providers, managers and executive leadership.
\nStrategic Vision & Roadmap Ownership: Define and execute a holistic provider performance vision, establishing standardized, scalable frameworks across all clinical service lines
Team Leadership & Scale: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing operations team. Set high-impact priorities and support professional development for direct reports.
Data Vision & Analytics Governance: Partner directly with the Data Analytics team to build a unified data vision. Establish centralized systems to measure, track, and predict provider availability, capacity, and performance across diverse employment models
Systems & Tooling Execution: Oversee the development of operational tools, workflows, and cross-program dashboards that empower clinical managers to drive day-to-day performance and provide executive leadership with real-time visibility
Strategic Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a core operational partner to senior leadership on strategic growth initiatives, with an immediate focus on optimizing provider availability, network utilization, and productivity across our Adult Outpatient Service Line
Core Requirement — Provider Performance Experience: 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience designing, scaling, or managing provider performance operations, clinical productivity frameworks, or provider network operations within a healthcare organization, health tech company, or large provider network.
15+ years of experience in business operations, management consulting, healthcare operations, or high-growth health tech; experience scaling complex operations preferred.
8+ years of direct people management experience, with a track record of scaling high-performing teams and building strong team cultures.
Domain Knowledge of Provider Metrics: Deep understanding of clinical network operations and core provider metrics (e.g., panel management, utilization rates, clinical outcome tracking)
Data & Analytics Expertise: Proven ability to scope analytical frameworks, synthesize complex data sets, and partner effectively with analytics teams to translate raw data into operational tools and dashboards.
Executive Influence: Demonstrated experience building strategic roadmaps and aligning executive leadership, clinical leaders, and cross-functional teams around shared outcomes.
Execution & Change Management: A self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments, with a proven ability to turn complex, disparate processes into standardized, scalable systems.
