We are looking for a rare combination of 4 capabilities.
You have deep experience inside freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain organizations. You understand the operational realities behind air freight, ocean freight, customs, brokerage, visibility, customer service, and day-to-day logistics.
You do not simply participate in technology initiatives. You own them. You have experience making decisions around technology strategy, platform, systems architecture, integrations, vendor management, and roadmap priorities.
You have personally led significant transformation initiatives. Whether implementing a TMS, modernizing operational workflows, launching customer-facing platforms, or driving AI initiatives, you were the person responsible for defining the vision, designing and architecting the solution, making key decisions, and ensuring a successful execution.
You are comfortable operating as a senior business leader. You can communicate effectively with executives, vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams. You bring recommendations, not problems. You can influence decisions and lead organizational change with confidence and credibility.

More than just a traditional TMS, the platform provides real-time supply chain visibility, workflow automation, operational intelligence, supplier collaboration, and end-to-end shipment management across global logistics operations.
This role offers the opportunity to help shape the future evolution of that ecosystem and play a major role in how a technology-driven freight forwarder scales, operates, and differentiates itself in the market.

Our client is hiring a Director of Technology to lead the evolution of its technology ecosystem and support the company’s next phase of growth. You will be responsible for shaping the systems, architecture, and integrations that support logistics workflows across operations, finance, and client experience.
The company is currently undergoing a digital transformation, including transitioning from a legacy TMS to a modern system and further developing its Salesforce-centered environment. You will own and improve end-to-end operational workflows, not just systems, across logistics execution, tracking, and customer delivery. Your focus will be on building scalable systems that drive measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
7 to 12+ years of experience in technology leadership within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain environments
Strong leadership presence and ability to operate as part of a senior leadership team
Experience leading teams and owning technology strategy in lean, fast-moving companies
Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Deep understanding of workflows, integrations, and systems architecture within logistics or freight forwarding environments
Hands-on experience improving or building logistics systems and operational processes
Experience with TMS, CRM, Salesforce, customer-facing platforms, or similar operational systems. Candidates with lighter Salesforce exposure but deep freight forwarding architecture experience will be considered.
