Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a highly experience program manager to serve as Director of our Scientific Solutions team! In this role you will manage and direct an outstanding group of scientists, engineers, and software developers.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage and oversee programs related to HPAC, SCIPUFF, OCS AQS, and other government programs
  • Provide support, guidance, and oversight to project managers to help them succeed in their program execution
  • Work with business operations, including contracts, subcontracts, project controls, and billing to help ensure that programs are operating smoothly and concerns are addressed effectively
  • Help identify, coordinate, support, and oversee as required various business development efforts that align with the team’s core capabilities and/or present strategic growth opportunities
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to help team members grow in their careers

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Masters degree in engineering or related field
  • Proven experience leading multi-functional teams that include scientific modelers and software developers
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, industry partners, and team members
  • 15+ years of experience supporting/leading programs related to HPAC and SCIPUFF, with a deep knowledge of the mission, requirements, and working rhythm behind the programs
  • 5+ years of experience managing HPAC programs, to include leading Agile workflow, supporting Change Control Board meetings, and delivering software and documentation requirements
  • Experience supporting OCS AQS
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple government programs at the same time and work effectively with other program managers
  • Demonstrated leadership to promote successful teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to identify growth opportunities for team members and provide guidance and mentorship
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience and proficiency with tools for managing software projects (e.g., Gitlab, Jira, MS Project)
  • Basic understanding of Java, Fortran, and C++
  • Basic understanding of atmospheric processes

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00

This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
