This is a remote position.

Director of Sales, Hospital & ICU: Founding Sales Leader Remote US, travel up to 35%, full-time start contingent on funding milestone

Nurses lose hours a shift, and hospitals lose millions of dollars, to seemingly-small that actually have real consequences for patients. Our mission at Nursetech Medical is to build devices that nurses trust, for the patients they protect.

Our flagship product is a patented single-use device that’s FDA listed with an established quality system, generating early revenue, and selling through several nationally distributing partners. We are selling to and trialing at various major hospital systems, but looking to significantly expand from early growth mode. We recently closed the first tranche of our seed round and are raising the remainder now. This role starts when the first 40% of the current round we're closing is in.

You will be our first full-time sales leader and a true player-coach. You will be deep in the trenches alongside reps you coach and onboard with the team. In year one you will personally close hospital deals, drive full adoption inside the units we win, and build the team, channel, and playbook that scale past you. You will wear many hats and sit in on company decisions. If you're looking to start with a big team and marketing department behind you, this is not a fit. If you're hungry to grow, work hard, and build the commercial engine to meaningfully impact patient and clinician lives, then this role is looking for you.

What you will own

  • Closing new acute-care unit accounts end to end: outreach, clinical champion support, value analysis committee, contracting, go-live
  • Full adoption after the sale. In-servicing every shift, tracking utilization, converting a purchase into a unit that reorders on cadence and expands to the next unit in the system. We consider this as important as the initial close.
  • Converting stalled accounts from a named list of systems that showed interest and went quiet.
  • Recruiting, training, and managing remote inside reps (appointment-setting and outreach). Supporting field reps from partner distributors as well.
  • Training, supporting, and driving partner distributor reps which may include: presentations, ride-alongs, in-service support, joint calls, pipeline reviews, and potential spiff programs that actually move them.
  • Negotiating with distributors and GPOs: margin and territory terms with current and new distributor partners, recruiting additional distributors and 1099 reps, and pursuing GPO agreements.
  • Managing outbound: conference follow-up, cold call, email, and LinkedIn sequences, webinars and nurse education, etc.
  • Conferences: working the booth, presenting, and turning badge scans into meetings and trials.
  • Being on-site at hospitals when a deal or a go-live needs it. Access near a large airport is preferred.
  • Contributing to marketing (case studies, clinical talking points, collateral) and to company-level decisions on pricing, territory, and hiring.
  • Owning the numbers, forecasts, and the CRM, with frequent pipeline reviews with the founder and team.
  • Ability to show up on investor calls before close to support the funding process.

Requirements

What we need to see

  • 5+ years selling medical devices or disposables into US hospitals, with a track record you can walk us through account by account.
  • You have personally taken products through value analysis committees and run clinical in-services.
  • You have driven adoption after the PO: you can describe a unit you took from "purchased" to "standard of care" and how.
  • You have led, coached, or trained other reps, including distributor reps, or have a credible reason we should bet you can.
  • You have negotiated distributor or GPO terms, or sat close enough to those negotiations to run one.
  • Current or easily renewed vendor credentialing (symplr/Vendormate, Reptrax, or equivalent). Comfortable traveling.
  • Startup, product-launch, or small-company experience is a strong plus; marketing or demand-gen experience is a plus.
  • Business judgment: you can read a P&L, think about pricing and distributor margin, and make calls with incomplete information.

Benefits

Compensation

  • Base: $105,000 - 115,000
  • OTE: Base + $40,000 commission at target, uncapped, paid quarterly on accounts live, adoption/retention, and team and channel milestones; non-recoverable draw for the first two quarters
  • Competitive Equity at start + meaningful revenue milestones.
  • Health reimbursement (QSEHRA), PTO, home office, expensed travel
  • Considered for C-Suite succession if it is the right fit
  • Applications accepted on an ongoing basis.
