AI Summary

You will lead the product design function, managing a team of designers across multiple countries while setting standards for quality and design coherence. You will also partner with product and engineering leadership to drive discovery methodologies and integrate AI into the design practice.

The Company

Easor is a financial management platform that connects entrepreneurs and accounting firms. Over 15,000 businesses across Finland, Sweden, Spain, and Italy run their invoicing, payments, and accounting on our software. We listed on Nasdaq Helsinki in March 2026.

We are 145 people, 80 of whom work in product development in Finland and Spain. We are investing heavily in product practices, craft, and team structure to match the ambitions of an independent product company. This role is central to that effort.

The Role

You will lead Easor's Product Design function — up to eight product designers in Finland and Spain. They report to you, and they work embedded in stream-aligned product teams alongside a product manager and engineers. Their objectives come from those teams. Their craft, their standards, and their careers come from you.

You report to the CTO and sit in the engineering leadership team, with the Directors of Engineering as your peers. You partner closely with the product leadership.

Your mandate is the design practice: who we hire, how good the work is, how design decisions get made, and whether Easor feels like one product across four countries and several sub-products.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the designers. Hire, develop, and manage performance. Address underperformance directly. Keep and grow the strong ones. Write and maintain the career ladder that performance management rests on.

  • Set the bar on quality. Run design reviews and critique sessions so a common standard is set and feedback is given before designs ship. Then raise the bar as the team gets better.

  • Make design decisions objective. Evidence over opinion. Qualitative and quantitative testing is the norm. Ultimately, the craft is judged against business outcomes.

  • Mentor in discovery. Designers do customer problem discovery next to product managers and engineers. You teach the methodology and the tools, and you hold the process to a standard: plenty of ideas generated, most of them discarded cheaply but conclusively.

  • Own coherence. One design language across teams and countries. You own the seams between sub-products and the customer journey running through them — through shared design principles, a Design System, and systematic review of adherence.

  • Bring AI into the practice. Find where AI makes design faster and better, and make it the normal way of working.

Who We're Looking For

  • Practicing designer turned leader. Deep, current skill in product and interaction design. You can lead a critique with substance and tell strong work from work that only looks good. Your primary impact is now through the standards you set and the people you lead, but you have not lost the craft.

  • People-first manager. You hire well, develop individuals, and take 1:1s seriously. You understand designers as humans. You adapt to the person in front of you and don't avoid hard conversations.

  • Evidence-driven. You have real command of discovery, Design Thinking, and evidence-based design. You end design arguments with a test, not with seniority.

  • Systems thinker. You see the whole journey, not the screen. You keep a Design System alive and make people want to use it.

  • Courageous challenger. You see what needs to change and say it plainly. When it matters, you take a stand and work alongside the designer to get the work to exceptional.

  • Clear writer. You think through writing — narratives, decision records, principles — and help others do the same.

Experience in an international, multi-office and remote setting is a plus, as Finland and Spain need to work as one team. Experience in financial, accounting, or another regulated software domain is an advantage.

English fluency required. Finnish or Spanish is a plus.

What we offer

In this role you report directly to the CTO and have a high degree of independence in leading the craft of product design.

The salary is 6,000–7,500 €/month depending on experience and location, plus country specific employee benefits, plus possible equity/stock incentives.

We also provide comprehensive employee benefits, including extensive occupational healthcare as well as lunch, phone, and wellness benefits.

Flexible location: Finland, Sweden, Spain or Italy.

What we value

At Easor, work is built on trust. You are given responsibility and freedom, along with the expectation that you take initiative and move things forward independently. We support one another as a team and share knowledge in our daily work. We continuously develop the way we work together by experimenting, learning, and improving as we go. Decisions are made close to everyday operations, and things don’t get left waiting.

Our work is guided by three core values:

Courage – we dare to try new things, challenge the status quo, and do things differently.

Drive – we move things forward with determination and take responsibility for results.

Care – we look after each other, our customers, and our partners.

We hope these are also reflected in the way you work.
