Position Overview

Zedcor Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director of Operations & Sales for the California Region to lead the full operational and commercial lifecycle across our California footprint. This is a senior leadership role that combines strategic market development with hands-on revenue generation — the successful candidate will be equally comfortable building and managing branch infrastructure as they are hunting new business and growing existing client relationships. As Zedcor expands its mobile surveillance and security solutions presence throughout California, this role will be the primary driver of regional growth — responsible for establishing new branches, expanding market coverage, leading a high-performing field operations and sales team, and delivering against ambitious revenue targets. The Director will serve as Zedcor's senior representative in the California market, fostering relationships with enterprise clients, property developers, municipalities, construction firms, and other key verticals.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Branch Management

  • Oversee all operational aspects of existing California branches, ensuring service delivery standards, asset utilization, and customer satisfaction are consistently met
  • Lead the identification, planning, and launch of new branch locations throughout California, including site selection, staffing, equipment deployment, and licensing compliance
  • Establish and continuously improve operational processes, SOPs, and performance benchmarks across all California locations
  • Manage P&L for the California region; develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and expense controls to ensure profitability targets are achieved
  • Ensure fleet and equipment readiness, maintenance schedules, and inventory management are optimized across all branches
  • Partner with the national operations team to implement best practices, deploy new technologies, and align regional processes with company-wide standards
  • Develop escalation protocols and ensure rapid, effective resolution of client service issues

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Own the California regional revenue target; develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual goals
  • Personally lead prospecting, pipeline development, and closure of major accounts across key verticals including construction, utilities, real estate, events, and municipal/government sectors
  • Build and manage a regional sales team — recruit, coach, and hold accountable a team of Business Development Managers and Account Executives
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients, general contractors, property managers, and channel partners
  • Drive recurring revenue growth through contract renewals, upsells, and cross-sells across the existing California client base
  • Identify and develop new market segments, pricing strategies, and service offerings suited to California market conditions
  • Track and report on pipeline health, win/loss metrics, and sales KPIs using CRM tools; present regional business reviews to executive leadership
  • Collaborate with Marketing to localize campaigns, trade show presence, and lead generation initiatives for the California market

Market Expansion & New Branch Development

  • Execute Zedcor's California market expansion roadmap, identifying priority geographic markets and building the business case for new branch openings
  • Lead end-to-end new branch launches — from market assessment and regulatory compliance through hiring, training, and go-live
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and market analysis to identify untapped opportunities, pricing dynamics, and differentiation strategies
  • Develop strategic partnerships with local contractors, subcontractors, and industry associations to accelerate market penetration in new territories
  • Represent Zedcor at California-specific industry events, trade associations, and networking forums to build brand presence and generate leads

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-calibre team of operations managers, field supervisors, and sales professionals across California
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and customer focus
  • Mentor and develop emerging leaders within the regional team to build organizational depth and succession readiness
  • Ensure all personnel comply with Zedcor's policies, safety standards, and applicable California employment regulations
  • Champion Zedcor's values and culture throughout the California region, serving as a visible and accessible leader

Reporting & Strategic Planning

  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting to executive leadership on revenue performance, operational metrics, market conditions, and expansion progress.

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in operations and/or sales leadership, with at least 3 years in a senior regional or multi-site role.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a B2B environment.
  • Proven experience launching new branch locations or markets, including operational setup and team building from the ground up.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing regional P&L, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to inspire and align teams across multiple locations.
  • Deep knowledge of the California business landscape, regulatory environment, and key commercial sectors (construction, property, utilities, events, or similar).
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce or equivalent) and operational reporting tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout California.
  • Travel is required extensively throughout California.

Preferred

  • Experience in the security, surveillance, technology services, or rental/equipment industries.
