Harvest Group is seeking a strategic and business-minded Director of Insights & Analytics to lead and evolve our analytics capability, helping both our clients and our organization make smarter, faster, data-driven decisions. This leader will transform retailer, consumer, syndicated, and omnichannel data into actionable insights that drive customer strategy, category growth, sales performance, and measurable business results.
The Director of Insights & Analytics will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering insights that help clients win across today's retail landscape. The ideal candidate combines analytical expertise, strategic thinking, storytelling, and client partnership to connect data to business outcomes across retailers, categories, and channels.
This role will also shape the future of analytics at Harvest Group by advancing our use of emerging retailer data sources, business intelligence tools, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. The Director will play a critical role in building scalable analytics capabilities, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the value we deliver to clients and the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, growth, and evolution of Harvest Group's Insights & Analytics function, ensuring analytics capabilities support both client success and business objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership and client teams to identify opportunities for growth, improve decision-making, and deliver measurable business outcomes through data-driven insights.
- Transform retailer, consumer, syndicated, shopper, eCommerce, and internal business data into actionable recommendations that influence customer strategy, category growth, sales performance, and marketplace execution.
- Provide thought leadership on consumer trends, retailer dynamics, category performance, and emerging opportunities across the retail landscape.
- Lead analysis across key retail partners including Walmart, Sam's Club, Target, Kroger, Amazon, Costco, and regional retailers, utilizing platforms such as Retail Link, Luminate, NielsenIQ, Circana (IRI), Stackline, Profitero, and 84.51°.
- Oversee analytics reporting, dashboards, scorecards, KPI tracking, forecasting, and predictive analytics to support planning and execution.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while establishing best practices for analytics, visualization, storytelling, and client communication.
- Partner closely with Retailer, Media, Digital Commerce, Finance, Growth, Technology, and Operations teams to improve data accessibility, reporting efficiency, and business performance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, translating complex data into compelling narratives and executive-level recommendations.
- Advance Harvest Group's analytics capabilities through the adoption of emerging technologies, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and modern business intelligence tools.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in analytics, category management, consumer insights, sales strategy, business intelligence, or related disciplines.
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience leveraging retailer and syndicated data sources, including Retail Link, Luminate, NielsenIQ, Circana (IRI), Stackline, Profitero, 84.51°, and similar platforms.
- Expertise in Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and data visualization best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to turn complex datasets into actionable business recommendations.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and clients.
- Experience within CPG, retail brokerage, retailer analytics, or omnichannel commerce environments preferred.
- Familiarity with Walmart and Sam's Club ecosystems, SQL, Power Query, Python, advanced analytics technologies, or AI-enabled solutions is a plus.

We carefully consider a wide-ranging list of factors to determine compensation, including but not limited to level of job-related experience, knowledge, skills, location, etc. Base pay is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package.
The national hiring range for this position is $160,000-$180,000 per year. Additionally, this position is eligible to participate in our bonus program.
