Candidates must reside in Illinois and live a commutable distance to our regional office for meetings and sites. Weekly travel will vary week by week -- 1x/week up to 5x/week, as needed.   The Infection Control Director (Registered Nurse) oversees the operations of the infection prevention, epidemiology and relevant safety of incarcerated individuals in a correctional setting.  This person identifies as promptly as possible patients and staff who have acquired infection and maintain a register of all notified infections. They coordinate and implement our Infection Control Program.  This person ensures compliance with isolation techniques and procedures to provide optimum care for patients. Qualifications APIC Certification; certification in Infection Control preferred 1-3 years’ experience providing nursing care in a public health environment or acute care setting with a focus on infection prevention and control Clear/Active Illinois Registered Nurse license Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required Must have the ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with staff and institutional administration Computer skills required include Microsoft Office Corrections experience preferred Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check We offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including: Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance 401(k) with company match Generous paid time off Paid holidays Flexible Spending Account Continuing Education benefits Much more...
