Director, Acquisition & Financial Management Center of Excellence

MDW Associates is seeking a part-time Director, Acquisition & Financial Management Center of Excellence to establish and lead its enterprise-wide Acquisition & Financial Management Center of Excellence (AFCOE). This remote corporate leadership position will support MDW programs and strategic pursuits across the Department of War, the Intelligence Community, NASA, and other federal agencies.

The Director will draw upon extensive federal acquisition and financial-management experience to strengthen workforce quality, promote knowledge sharing, and continuously introduce proven practices across MDW's federal portfolio.

This position is fully remote.

The Director may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:

• Establish and lead MDW's Acquisition & Financial Management Center of Excellence.
• Advise MDW program leaders on PPBE, financial management, budget execution, acquisition support, program control, workforce development, and related leading practices.
• Support Program/Project Managers develop position-specific competency profiles and identify qualified candidates.
• Develop technical interview criteria and participate in interviews for critical acquisition and financial-management positions.
• Provide mentoring, problem-solving assistance, and independent reviews to MDW program personnel.
• Develop reusable playbooks, checklists, training materials, interview guides, and lessons learned.
• Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across MDW's federal programs.
• Support workforce development, succession planning, retention, and rapid backfill strategies.
• Monitor emerging federal policies, practices, and technologies and recommend appropriate applications across MDW programs.
• Support strategic capture and proposal efforts by developing differentiated management, workforce, and technical solutions.
• Coordinate with MDW recruiting, contracts, program control, quality, growth, and executive leadership.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification.
• At least 15 years of progressively responsible federal financial-management, acquisition, PPBE, budget, or program-management experience.
• Significant experience supporting Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community organizations.
• Demonstrated experience leading senior professionals, evaluating candidates, mentoring personnel, and improving organizational performance.
• Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and executive-advisory skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, part-time corporate leadership role.

Education Requirement(s):

• Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, or a related field.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Experience supporting multiple federal agencies, including defense, intelligence, civilian, or NASA organizations.
