Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Digital Marketing Executive

Compensation range: $2,000 AUD - $3,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 4 PM AEST, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: We are a results-driven digital marketing team built to help ambitious businesses grow. Combining strategic thinking, data-led campaigns, and continuous improvement, we create marketing solutions that drive measurable outcomes. Our focus is simple: smart ideas, precise execution, and helping businesses achieve more.

Role Overview: We are looking for a senior Digital Marketing Executive specialising in Google Ads to join an Australian-based digital marketing agency. This hands-on role requires someone who can build campaigns from scratch, manage multiple client accounts, analyse performance, and implement effective optimisations independently. Meta Ads experience is a strong bonus, and SEO knowledge is an advantage.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and accountable, with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to identify issues and implement solutions before being prompted.

The successful contractor is expected to provide approximately 38 hours of services per week and maintain major availability during the agency's core business hours.

As part of onboarding, you will be required to sign a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) that includes non-disclosure of association and non-publicity clauses, as well as a security agreement to protect confidential business information.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Build, manage, and optimise Google Ads campaigns from scratch, including keyword research, landing page selection, ad assets, negative keyword lists, and at least two ads per ad group.
    • Manage weekly optimisations across approximately 20+ client accounts, using data to improve leads, sales, and ROI.
    • Proactively investigate declining campaign performance, identify root causes, and implement solutions without waiting for direction.
    • Prepare a weekly red-flag report identifying underperforming accounts, reasons for declines, recommended fixes, and any requests for additional time.
    • Set up, test, and troubleshoot conversion tracking for forms, calls, and Shopify using GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
    • Manage Meta Ads campaigns and test ad copy, creative, and videos where required, tracking results and documenting changes in Asana.
    • Draft short, upbeat client update emails focused on testing, growth, and opportunities, using a warm and professional tone.
    • Support SEO activities, including content, on-page, and technical optimisation. SEO training will be provided.
    • Build and update WordPress and Shopify pages based on strategy and design guidelines, implementing feedback accurately.
    • Manage multiple client accounts, follow written processes, and keep internal systems updated.
    • Create advertising and social media creatives using Canva and Lightroom, and follow relevant advertising policies.
    • Communicate reliably, answer all questions, meet deadlines, check work thoroughly, and flag blockers early.

Requirements

  • A marketing, communications, or related degree (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • 5+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience, ideally in an agency managing multiple accounts.
  • Strong experience building campaigns from scratch and independently optimising performance across multiple accounts.
  • Confident with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and end-to-end conversion tracking troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify performance issues, and improve ROI.
  • Experience with Meta Ads is a strong advantage; SEO experience is a bonus.
  • Experience with Asana and following written processes.
  • Strong English copywriting skills for Australian audiences and the ability to write clear, friendly client communications.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including checking names, numbers, recipients, attachments, and ensuring every client question is answered.
  • A proactive ownership mindset, with the ability to diagnose problems, recommend solutions, and follow through independently.
  • Reliable communication, strong organisation, and the ability to adapt strategies to individual client goals.
  • Experience with Canva, Lightroom, WordPress, and Shopify is beneficial.
  • A genuine drive to learn, improve, and deliver measurable client results.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
