The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Digital Dentistry Leader is responsible for defining and executing Solventum Dental Solutions’ digital strategy across businesses. This role leads the development of the digital roadmap by ensuring alignment with clinician needs, treatment workflows, customer insights, market opportunities, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.

This role manages a portfolio that currently includes Aligners, Retainers, DBT, and Restorative Design, while identifying and advancing future digital capabilities that strengthen Solventum’s position as a differentiated leader in digital dentistry.

Strategy & Vision

• Lead the global Digital Dentistry strategy and vision across Dental Solutions Business , aligned with portfolio strategy.
• Define and communicate measurable product-family outcomes, product boundaries, and strategic guardrails that enable Product Managers to lead their product areas.
• Anticipate how technology, clinical workflows, competitive offerings, and customer expectations are evolving and translate those trends into strategic opportunities.
• Evaluate opportunities to build, buy, partner or integrate new capabilities.   

Portfolio Leadership

• Own the Clarity Portal strategy and multi-year roadmap, ensuring the platform evolves into a differentiated digital ecosystem
• Ensure digital strategic priorities are transformed into an executable and robust roadmap by translating clinician needs and treatment workflows into clear business and product requirements.
• Lead roadmap and feature prioritization decisions - fund, continue, expand, pause, pivot or stop - based on customer and business outcomes.
• Lead efforts to establish quantitative business outcomes to roadmap and features.
• Partner with R&D and portfolio leaders to align priorities with available capacity, dependencies, technical sustainability, quality, and delivery risk.
• Shape portfolio and roadmap priorities by leveraging continuous competitive benchmarking and market intelligence and trade-offs across the digital dentistry industry.
• Review post-launch outcomes and adjust portfolio priorities or recommend investment changes based on evidence, adoption and business impact.

Portfolio Integration

• Drive integrated alignment in shared outcomes and priorities across Product Management, Product Owners, Architecture, Marketing, R&D, Scientific Education, Quality, Regulatory and Regional teams.
• Establish effective operating rhythms that accelerate evidence-based decisions, surface dependencies and risks, and maintain transparency across the product family
• Lead regular cross-functional and release readiness reviews to ensure roadmap execution, release readiness and business readiness remain aligned.
• Ensure timely and transparent communication of roadmap and release decisions
• Champion Agile methodology for digital product development and foster deep collaboration with R&D teams to build a high performing team culture.

Dental Industry connection

• Identify, develop and own strategic partnerships that can accelerate, expand the digital dentistry ecosystem and accelerate product development
• Engage with clinicians, KOLs, customers and external technology experts to identify emerging opportunities and validate product direction.

   People Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop Product Managers, providing strategic outcome-based direction and empowering them to lead execution and day-to-day product decisions.
• Build Product Management capability in customer discovery, hypothesis-driven development, roadmap communication, evidence-based prioritization, and post-launch learning.
• Promote an agile mindset centered on ownership, customer value, iterative learning, transparent trade-offs, cross-functional collaboration, and fast, data-driven execution.
• Develop talent capable of connecting business strategy, clinical needs and digital technology.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in digital product management, platform strategy, portfolio management, digital health, MedTech or healthcare technology.

AND

• Experience translating customer or clinical needs into digital product requirements and solutions.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in Dental, Orthodontics, Digital Dentistry, Dental
• Strong understanding of dental and/or orthodontic clinical workflows.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience; demonstrated experience leading and developing Product Managers and enabling clear decision-making across multiple product areas.
• Experience building technology partnerships and connected ecosystems.
• Experience managing a portfolio across multiple customer segments or markets.
•  Experience with modern product operating models, Lean portfolio practices, Scrum, Kanban, or flow-based delivery approaches.
• Strong strategic and commercial/business acumen.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment and outcomes across a complex matrix organization.
• Strong understanding of digital platforms, software and emerging technologies.
• Ability to operate effectively in a global, complex and rapidly changing environment.
• Proven ability to make complex investment, prioritization and trade-off decisions.

Travel: 20% domestic and international travel required

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $187,600 - $257,950, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
