Digital Asset Specialist - BYU-Pathway Worldwide (Part-Time Student Employee)

Digital Asset Specialists play an important role in supporting BYU-Pathway Worldwide’s video production and digital outreach efforts. This position focuses on organizing, managing, transferring, and maintaining large amounts of video content from trips, interviews, and events around the world. 

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organization, technical skills, and the ability to carefully manage large video libraries and detailed project-tracking spreadsheets. Video Asset Management Assistants help ensure that video footage, transcripts, project files, and other materials are properly organized and accessible so the video team can work efficiently and effectively. 

This part-time position typically works (Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 am - 12:00 pm Or 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm). This position is a remote position. By applying for this position, you are indicating that you are currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, organize, label, and maintain video content from Nuxeo into SharePoint, MediaValet and other digital asset platforms.
• Maintain and regularly update a master spreadsheet that tracks past, current, and future video projects, including project status, available footage, transcripts, captions, editing progress, deadlines, and final deliverables.
• Assist with organizing and archiving large video projects while maintaining accurate records of where files are stored and how they can be accessed.
• Handle large video files and help download, upload, transfer, and organize content while following BYU-Pathway’s established video production and storage processes.

These positions will help BYU-Pathway clearly and effectively communicate its mission and the profound impact it has on thousands of students and Church-service missionaries throughout the world using video content. As a member of a professional marketing and communication team, students will gain meaningful experience in digital asset management, project coordination, and managing video content.

Qualifications

• Must have very fast, reliable high-speed internet capable of downloading, uploading, and managing large video files.
• Excellent planning, organizing, time management, and communications skills
• Ability to work consistently with detailed spreadsheets and tracking documents using the Microsoft Suite, Excel and Google Sheets.
• Ability to proactively overcome obstacles with minimal supervision  
• Basic understanding of video production, digital media, or the process of creating and managing video content.
• You must be a resident of Utah or Idaho to be qualified for this position

Preferred Skills 

• Studying Marketing, Business, Communications, Media Arts, Project Management or related fields.
• Experience with video production team workflows.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, MediaValet, Nuxeo, or similar digital storage platforms.
• Spanish, Portuguese, or French language skills preferred

Worthiness Qualification 

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
