Overview

Sensibly Sprouted is seeking a Dietitian, Advanced Practice to deliver specialized Medical Nutrition Therapy through nutrigenomics and precision nutrition.

Advanced Practice is a specialized patient-facing MNT pathway for Dietitians who demonstrate complete Primary Practice proficiency and the capability to apply nutrigenomics and precision nutrition to complex patient care. The role expands beyond standard Primary Practice through highly individualized, data-informed interventions while maintaining the clinical, operational, and patient-care standards expected across Sensibly Sprouted.

The Advanced Practice Dietitian interprets genomic information, integrates genetic, laboratory, clinical, and lifestyle data, develops individualized precision-nutrition care plans, and applies advanced supplement strategies within defined clinical frameworks. The role requires strong clinical judgment, responsible application of emerging science, and the ability to translate complex information into practical patient care.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy incorporating nutrigenomics and precision nutrition.
• Interpret genomic information and apply nutrigenomic insights within defined clinical frameworks and protocols.
• Integrate genomic, laboratory, clinical, nutrition, and lifestyle information into individualized care plans.
• Develop patient-specific precision-nutrition protocols based on clinical presentation and available data.
• Translate complex genomic and clinical information into clear, actionable recommendations for patients.
• Design and manage advanced supplement strategies, including appropriate dosing, timing, combinations, and modification based on patient response.
• Apply emerging science responsibly while maintaining evidence-informed clinical judgment and patient safety.
• Manage a patient caseload that may include both Advanced Practice and broader MNT care as Advanced Practice demand develops.
• Adjust preparation, scheduling, and workload appropriately for the complexity of nutrigenomics cases while maintaining applicable performance expectations.
• Support patient engagement, retention, progression, and measurable outcomes through individualized care.
• Identify and address barriers to progress in complex or specialized patient cases.
• Maintain alignment with the Sensibly Sprouted Approach and established clinical standards.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time and consistently follow applicable billing, coding, scheduling, communication, and workflow requirements.
• Provide feedback on Advanced Practice protocols, workflows, systems, and patient experience as the service continues to develop.
• Maintain continued learning in nutrigenomics, precision nutrition, and related areas of practice.

Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate readiness to perform the complete Advanced Practice role.

Required qualifications include:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
• Applicable state licensure or eligibility for required licensure

Additional specialty credentials related to functional nutrition or nutrigenomics may strengthen candidacy when they materially support demonstrated capability, but they are not independently required.

Role Structure

Advanced Practice is a patient-facing MNT role and a distinct specialization beyond Primary Practice.

The Advanced Practice Dietitian maintains responsibility for the complete clinical and operational expectations of patient care while adding specialized capability in nutrigenomics, precision nutrition, genomic interpretation, individualized protocol development, and advanced supplement strategy.

This is not a management role and does not include formal supervisory authority.

Advanced Practice may operate with a hybrid caseload as demand for specialized care develops.

Performance Expectations

Advanced Practice Dietitians are expected to maintain strong clinical and operational performance while delivering specialized care.

Performance expectations include:

• Consistent delivery of high-quality Medical Nutrition Therapy
• Effective application of nutrigenomics and precision nutrition
• Strong clinical judgment and responsible application of emerging science
• Patient engagement, continuity of care, progression, and outcomes
• Appropriate application of advanced supplement strategies
• Consistent productivity and effective schedule management
• Reliable management of workload across Advanced Practice and broader MNT care as applicable
• Accurate and timely documentation
• Reliable execution of clinical and operational standards
• Continued development of specialized clinical expertise
• Contribution to the continued refinement of Advanced Practice care delivery

Compensation

Initial base compensation for Advanced Practice is determined by demonstrated readiness for the complete role, relevant experience, and the depth of the candidate’s applied nutrigenomics and precision-nutrition capability.

Placement toward the upper end of the expected initial range reflects stronger evidence of complete Advanced Practice proficiency at entry. Placement above the expected initial range requires substantial directly transferable evidence across the complete Advanced Practice scope.

Salary progression within the range is not automatic. An Advanced Practice Dietitian who enters below the normal full-proficiency reference may reasonably progress toward that reference as complete-role proficiency, independence, and sustained effectiveness are demonstrated. Progression above the normal full-proficiency reference requires sustained evidence of exceptional value within the established Advanced Practice role.

• Review of patient-care, operational, and performance readiness
• An Advanced Practice selection interview

For internal candidates, consideration includes sustained Primary Practice performance, demonstrated competency in nutrigenomics, successful completion of the required nutrigenomics training and assessment, strong alignment with the 3Ps, and Lead nomination.

External candidates are evaluated through the applicable hiring and selection process to determine whether prior experience and demonstrated capability establish equivalent readiness for the complete Advanced Practice role.

Final selection is determined by the Chief Dietetics Officer based on demonstrated readiness for the complete role.
