As a Destination Experience Specialist, you will work with travelers to learn what they want from their trip and help identify destinations, accommodations, activities, and travel services that fit their preferences. You will provide research support, coordinate selected arrangements, and help clients stay informed as their vacation plans take shape.

No previous travel-industry experience is necessary. Training, destination education, supplier resources, and continued mentorship are provided to help you learn the role and build your knowledge over time.

How You'll Support Travelers

  • Connect with clients to learn about their vacation vision, destination interests, preferred dates, budget, and travel priorities
  • Ask questions to identify preferred experiences, accommodation styles, activities, and other important trip considerations
  • Research domestic and international destinations using approved travel resources
  • Explore resorts, hotels, cruises, transportation, guided experiences, excursions, attractions, and vacation packages
  • Identify destination and vacation options that align with individual traveler preferences
  • Provide helpful information about available experiences so clients can evaluate their choices
  • Assist with coordinating selected accommodations, transportation, activities, and other vacation components
  • Use authorized supplier resources and reservation platforms to support client arrangements
  • Organize important travel information into clear and easy-to-follow vacation plans
  • Provide confirmations, itinerary details, schedules, and applicable pre-travel information
  • Follow up regarding outstanding selections, deadlines, or information needed to complete arrangements
  • Maintain communication with travelers as departure approaches and respond to planning-related questions
  • Assist with routine itinerary revisions, reservation updates, cancellations, and special requests
  • Review traveler information and reservation details to help identify missing or inaccurate information
  • Maintain current records of client preferences, conversations, requests, and travel arrangements
  • Expand destination and product knowledge through supplier webinars, educational programs, and continued training
