Experience Designer

About the Role
The Experience Designer is responsible for designing thoughtful, user-centered solutions that meet the needs of customers and end users. You'll leverage cutting-edge design tools and methodologies to translate complex user insights into compelling design concepts, interactive prototypes, and scalable design systems. From early-stage research to final product delivery, you'll lead end-to-end design initiatives that drive meaningful impact across the organization.
This is a role for a design thinker who leads with empathy, communicates with clarity, and delivers with precision. You'll collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and senior leadership β bridging the gap between user needs and business goals.
π Candidates with a strong, demonstrable portfolio showcasing end-to-end design thinking, UX artifacts, and shipped products will be given priority consideration.
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Translate user insights and customer needs into design concepts, journeys, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure RP, and InVision, ensuring designs are responsive, accessible, and aligned with WCAG 2.1/2.2 standards.
- Lead large design projects through complete product lifecycles β from early research and conception using Miro or Mural for collaborative ideation, through development handoff via Zeplin or Abstract, release, and iterative refinement.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including product managers, product owners, development engineers, and senior management using Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams to align on product vision, roadmaps, and design strategy.
- Partner with user researchers to plan, develop, and execute research using platforms such as UserTesting, Lookback, Hotjar, and Optimal Workshop to define, optimize, and evolve products while proactively identifying knowledge gaps.
- Use storytelling methods and data visualization techniques to communicate complex design concepts to varied audiences, clearly articulating reasoning, principles, and user insights that drive design decisions.
- Mentor, coach, and train team members while providing annotated design specifications and interaction documentation using Storybook and Design Tokens that detail interaction behaviors and acceptance criteria for developers.

Role Essentials
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of professional experience in Experience Design, UX/UI Design, or a related field, supported by a strong professional portfolio that demonstrates both pragmatic and creative thinking β showcasing end-to-end design processes, high-quality UX artifacts, and shipped products created using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
5+ years of hands-on proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools including Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and Axure RP, with proven experience creating concepts, journeys, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for responsive, mobile, and product design.
5+ years of experience integrating user research methodologies using platforms such as UserTesting, Lookback, or Hotjar into product designs, with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into actionable design decisions.
5+ years of demonstrated success collaborating with developers and product owners in defining and designing digital products within an Agile delivery methodology, using tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage workflows and documentation.
Deep understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2 accessibility standards and inclusive design principles, with 5+ years of experience clearly articulating design rationale across all organizational levels through strong oral and written communication skills.
What We'd Like to See
5+ years of experience leading one or more designers on end-to-end projects using design systems, Storybook, and Design Tokens to ensure consistency and scalability across the product portfolio.
Design strategy and thought leadership experience, including the ability to introduce innovative design approaches using data analytics tools such as Mixpanel, FullStory, or Amplitude to measure and optimize design outcomes.
Proficiency with version control tools such as GitHub or Abstract for managing design assets and collaborating efficiently with engineering teams in a continuous delivery environment.
Experience with advanced prototyping and motion design using tools such as After Effects or Principle to bring micro-interactions and animations to life, enhancing the overall user experience.
Familiarity with front-end development fundamentals including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript concepts, enabling effective collaboration with development teams and a deeper understanding of technical constraints and possibilities.
