Senior Data Engineer (MSBI) 

Must-Have Skills (Core 4)

1. Strong SQL / T-SQL

    • Advanced querying, performance tuning, stored procedures, indexing

    • Hands-on with SSMS and complex data transformations

2. SSIS (ETL Development)

    • Designing and developing ETL pipelines using SSIS

    • Handling data migration, transformation, and scheduling jobs

3. Data Warehousing Concepts

    • Strong understanding of star/snowflake schema

    • Experience in designing fact/dimension models and data marts

4. SSRS / Reporting

    • Developing and maintaining reports using SSRS

    • Exposure to report optimization and parameterisation

 

Nice-to-Have Skills (Add-ons 4)

1. SSAS / OLAP Cubes

    • Experience with multidimensional/tabular models

2. Power BI / Visualisation

    • Dashboard development, DAX basics, data modelling

3. Performance Tuning & Optimisation

    • Query tuning, ETL performance improvement, indexing strategies

4. Cloud Exposure

    • Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse or similar platforms

 

Optional Add-ons (If you want a stronger JD)

• Experience with DevOps (CI/CD for ETL)

• Exposure to data governance/data quality frameworks
