Job Description:
Position Overview This position is responsible for advanced technical work across all phases of database administration and development support, including:
Database administration and production database operations
Application development lifecycle support, including planning, design, development, implementation, data migration, QA, data cleanup, and data administration
Database security, availability, monitoring, and performance optimization
SQL software installation, configuration, upgrades, and Service Pack installations
SQL Server health checks and performance recommendations
SQL database migrations and upgrades from legacy servers/SQL versions
Data migration, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and validation
Azure SQL database deployment, configuration, security, backup, and maintenance
Integration of Azure SQL resources with other Azure services
Database schema development and deployment across test and production environments
Logical and physical database modeling
Development and maintenance of database structures, tables, relationships, and normalization
Support for PSP Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and Power BI environments
Coordination of database backup and restore activities
Collaboration with developers, business stakeholders, vendors, and service providers
