Database Administrator (6854)

As a Database Administrator, you will work as a DBA in a fast-paced agile scrum environment supporting web applications in the federal government space. You complete DB-related user stories each sprint, updating data in support of public and internal agency web applications.

What you’ll do: 

• Collaborate with software developers, testers, business analysts, and UX design specialists to complete committed work across two-week development sprints.
• Participate in all agile ceremonies. 
• While also responding to and processing quick-turn DB updates requested by government, Product Owners, and PMs.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

• 3+ years total work experience in database development.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS systems. 
• Proficiency in writing, tuning and troubleshoot SQL queries.
• Knowledge of SQL Development tool(s) SQL Developer, TOAD, etc.
• Statistical, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills.
• Ability to quickly transition and reassess priorities to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Strong understanding of XML & JSON structures.
• Ability to successfully obtain DHS Public Trust.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.

SALARY RANGE:  $100,000 - $130,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

• The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
• This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
• Performance-based bonuses
• Company-paid training and/or certifications
• Referral bonuses
