We’re looking for a Data Engineer who thrives in building scalable data platforms and wants to work on a high-impact, data-intensive project—all while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Building:
Data Platform & Pipeline Engineering
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured (CSV) data ingestion
- Build and optimize pipelines for data lakes and warehouses (Azure Data Lake, Synapse)
- Ensure reliable, high-volume data processing
Platform Integration & API Data Flows
- Develop and maintain REST API integrations and system connectors
- Integrate with third-party systems (e.g., HMIS, partner platforms)
- Enable seamless data flow across platforms and reporting tools
Data Quality, Governance & Compliance
- Implement data validation, integrity, and deduplication processes
- Build systems aligned with “single source of truth” principles
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and regulatory requirements
Collaboration & Engineering Excellence
- Work closely with engineers to align data & application architecture
- Contribute to Agile workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews
- Help shape cloud and data architecture decisions

Qualifications
What You Bring
Must-Have:
- 4+ years in Data Engineering / Backend Data Systems
- Strong experience with:
- SQL Server & relational databases
- Azure Data Stack (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory)
- ETL/ELT pipeline development
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and data platforms
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools
- Solid understanding of Agile, CI/CD, version control
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or government systems
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric
- Background in compliance-heavy environments (HUD, Medicaid, etc.)
