Data Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Data Coordinator will work with the research team to collect and abstract clinical data from medical records, research charts, and other source documents.  This position will be a primary point for data validation procedures ensuring compliancy both in terms of data and form functionality.  This includes but is not limited to performing data integrity and quality checks on data entered into the Talosix electronic data capture system as well as source document verification where applicable.  This will require an understanding of database functionality as well as protocol adherence. This position as needed will manage the patient follow up requirements of Talosix maintained registries and trials, including internal and external communications, patient engagement, data management, adherence reporting, and compliance documentation.

This position requires the use of independent judgment, leadership and knowledge of healthcare operations to effectively facilitate the workflow and promote a collaborative work environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Understand and comply with study protocols: Effectively utilize available resources; Use appropriate methods for quality survey conduct and quality assurance measures for accurate data collection and entry.
• Accurately track current timepoints to ensure timely completion of study objectives.
• Adhere to protocols for internal audits on data completeness, validity and accuracy.
• Perform data validation checks monitoring for missing data as well as data entry discrepancies.
• Perform validation and user functionality checks on newly created forms prior to those forms going live in a database.
• Perform UAT on new registries and platforms prior to those going live in the database.
• Input tester data to enable project validation.
• Adhere to protocols for internal audits on data completeness, validity and accuracy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of data coordination/data management experience
• 1-2 years of experience with UAT and data validation
• Experience with medical terminology
• Experience with PHI security (HIPAA)
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong English writing and language skills
• Ability to work independently and drive tasks and projects to completion with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively
• Ability to communicate workload, priorities, and progress effectively with managers and supervisors
• Ability to work comfortably in ambiguous situations
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software applications
