Data Centre Market Expert

About the role

Authority is building an expert intelligence network to understand and forecast important developments across the global data-centre industry.

We are looking for an experienced data-centre professional who is currently active in the Ireland market and has up-to-date knowledge of local conditions.

You will provide practical market intelligence about supply and demand, power availability, project pipelines, construction activity, investment, regulation, pricing and operator strategy in Ireland.

Your insights will help us improve datasets and forecasting models designed to predict commercial events and outcomes across the global data-centre market.

What you will contribute

• Participate in short monthly research calls
• Review market data and identify missing or inaccurate information
• Explain important changes in the local market
• Assess the likelihood and timing of new developments
• Provide intelligence on projects, operators, investors and major customers
• Review forecasts and explain which local signals could affect the outcome

Relevant areas of expertise

• Data-centre development and investment
• Colocation and hyperscale operations
• Site selection and land acquisition
• Power procurement and grid connections
• Construction, engineering and project delivery
• Capacity, take-up, vacancy and pricing
• Planning, permitting and environmental regulation
• Cloud, AI and high-performance computing infrastructure

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Currently operating in or closely involved with the Ireland data-centre market
• Strong and current knowledge of local market conditions
• Firsthand exposure to commercial or strategic decisions in the sector
• A valid LinkedIn profile showing relevant professional experience

Engagement details

• Independent contract
• Remote within Ireland
• Approximately 2 to 4 paid consulting hours per month

This is not a full-time position. It is a paid, flexible expert consulting engagement.
