ABOUT THE ROLE
LiveLike powers fan engagement and gamification for the world's leading sports and media brands. As a Data Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and client success, turning raw platform data into insights that drive real decisions.
You will work with our analytics infrastructure (Redshift, Metabase, GA4) and collaborate across teams to build dashboards, reports, and data models that our clients depend on. This is a high-ownership role with direct exposure to enterprise sports and media clients from day one.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and maintain client-facing dashboards and data views in response to stakeholder requests, translating business questions into clear visual outputs.
Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data from LiveLike's Redshift and PostgreSQL environments.
Collaborate with senior engineers on data architecture decisions — contributing to pipeline design, schema thinking, and data model improvements.
Own and deliver weekly and monthly client reports, covering widget performance, user engagement, and gamification outcomes across the LiveLike product suite.
Proactively surface new insights from data — identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities that go beyond standard reporting requests.
Develop a deep understanding of the LiveLike data system — platform events, user journeys, gamification logic — and use that knowledge to suggest improvements to how we measure and report.
Partner with internal stakeholders (PMs, CSMs, engineers) and client teams to gather requirements, align on metric definitions, and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in SQL — comfortable writing queries from scratch including joins, aggregations, subqueries, and window functions.
0–3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field. Fresher and intern applications are welcome.
Logical, structured mindset — ability to break down ambiguous business questions into data-driven answers.
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large, complex datasets.
Clear communication skills — able to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
GOOD TO HAVE
Familiarity with BI tools such as Metabase, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
Exposure to GA4, event analytics, or product analytics pipelines.
Experience with cloud data warehouses: BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
Basic knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
Familiarity with dbt or data pipeline/orchestration tools.
Interest in or experience with the sports, media, or fan engagement industry.
HOW TO APPLY
Send your resume along with a brief note (3–5 sentences) on why analytics excites you and one example of a data problem you have solved or explored — even a personal or academic project counts.
