Cybersecurity & Data Protection Analyst (Remote)
A leading healthcare revenue cycle management partner is seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst with a deep specialization in Microsoft Purview. This is a high-impact, hands-on role focused on strengthening the data governance and security posture for an organization that supports hospitals and physician practices nationwide.

The Role: Leading the Data Protection Strategy
The primary focus of this role is the end-to-end implementation and management of Microsoft Purview. The selected candidate will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data governance, ensuring sensitive healthcare information is classified, protected, and compliant across the cloud ecosystem.
Primary Focus: Microsoft Purview:
- Strategy & Implementation: Lead the enterprise-wide rollout of Microsoft Purview to discover, classify, and govern sensitive data.
- Information Protection: Design and manage sensitivity labels and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to prevent unauthorized data exposure.
- Compliance Management: Utilize Purview for data retention, eDiscovery, and meeting rigorous healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Security Integration: Align Purview with Azure Defender and Entra ID to maintain a unified, secure data fabric.
Additional Security Responsibilities:
- Threat Analysis: Monitor and investigate high-fidelity alerts using CrowdStrike Falcon and Rapid7 InsightIDR.
- Vulnerability Management: Use Rapid7 InsightVM to identify, prioritize, and coordinate the remediation of security risks.
- Identity & Access: Manage MFA, Conditional Access, and identity security within Azure/Entra ID.
- Incident Documentation: Thoroughly document investigations and collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex security issues.
Candidate Requirements
Successful candidates will bring a blend of technical expertise in cloud security and a strong understanding of networking fundamentals.
Essential Qualifications:
- Purview Expertise: Hands-on experience with the implementation of Microsoft Purview (Information Protection, DLP, and Data Lifecycle Management).
- Experience: 2 to 4+ years in Cybersecurity or SOC operations.
- Cloud Security: Advanced knowledge of Azure Security and Entra ID.
- Tool Proficiency: Direct experience with CrowdStrike Falcon and Rapid7.
- Networking: 1+ years of experience applying networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) within threat analysis and incident investigation.
- Required Certifications: Must hold SC-400 (Information Protection Administrator) and SC-900.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications: SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, or CompTIA Security+/CySA+.
- Experience in healthcare-related security environments (HIPAA compliance).
Logistics & Benefits
- Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 (based on skills and qualifications).
- Location: 100% Remote.
- Start Date: Anticipated Q1 2026.
- Connectivity: A reliable home internet connection is required (minimum 30MB download / 10MB upload).
