The Cyber Technical Analyst will work within a delivery squad to translate technical security controls into business requirements and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle. They are responsible for documenting system requirements, building technical backlogs, and facilitating workshops with stakeholders to ensure security-by-design outcomes.
Role Statement:
The Senior Technical Business Analyst will form part of a delivery squad and will work alongside the Business to deliver agreed outputs relating to the Cyber Programme. They can work independently and have a good understanding of their peers’ work areas. They advance the Analysis community through the sharing of best practice and mentoring others.
Key Role Accountabilities:
General
Carry out such tasks as directed to meet the needs of the Business on full end to end lifecycle of projects.
Reviewing the latest technology trends and developments.
Maintain awareness of the evolving cyber threat landscape and external drivers, assessing their impact and shaping the roadmap accordingly. This includes ensuring appropriate security, resilience and compliance considerations across people, processes and tooling.
Driving continuous improvement behaviours within the organisation and challenge the ‘norm’.
Engagement
Working closely with product management/Customers/Business process owners/Business Process Leads within specialist teams on all aspects of delivery and continuous improvement, requiring strong relationship and communications skills.
Build relationships across the Business within and external to the department.
Responsible for communicating with stakeholders to understand their requirements.
Coordinating developers to build and implement technology solutions.
Technical
Strong understanding of cyber security principles, including identity and access management, cloud security, data protection, secure architecture, vulnerability management, threat landscapes and regulatory requirements.
Experience of translating technical security controls into business requirements and ensuring security-by-design outcomes.
Extensive experience of working with technical teams
Responsible for the analyses, documentation, design and implementation of efficient and effective technical solutions which are aligned to the Programme objectives, the technical vision and landscape.
Experience of integrating multiple systems to meet programme and business requirements.
Initiate research into relevant technologies and tools to increase our effectiveness and deliverables
Documentation
Responsible for documenting and understanding the ‘AS-IS’/’TO-BE’ system and technology requirements impacts with close engagement with Functional Consultants.
Significant experience in working with technology teams
Defining and developing functional specifications via technical analysis.
Creating documentation on non-functional requirements and perform the required due diligence to analyse and justify requirements before achieving approval and business sign-off.
Analysis
Significant experience in building the required technical backlogs.
Experience of analysing and modelling security related business processes, controls and data flows
Confident in translating cyber risks, threats and vulnerabilities into business requirements and user stories
Experience of conducting impact, gap and risk analysis across people, processes and tooling
Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, risk, legal and audit teams
Define acceptance criteria and control requirements that can be evidenced and tested
Designing efficient IT systems to meet business and technology needs.
Working with end users to gather feedback about system performance.
Defining best practice, deliver on the end to end project activities from requirements, through to Go-Live support and close, including the delivery of business readiness activities and change
