SUMMARY

The Corporate Development Manager position is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth, nationwide IT Strategy firm that is quickly scaling to and is one of the nation’s largest IT channel platforms. This position will lead and support all aspects of the transaction lifecycle from start to finish. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Corporate Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Corporate Development team on a variety of initiatives in a fast-paced learning- and growth-oriented environment. The major tasks, responsibilities, and accountabilities for the Corporate Development Manager are mainly to assist in sourcing new prospects, gather necessary data to conduct business analysis and move prospective partners through the M&A lifecycle while assisting the Executive Leadership Team to make effective investment decisions along with conducting diligence / investment evaluation as a part of closing business. This role will have peripheral exposure to areas including finance/accounting, business development, operations, marketing, sales, and/or other departments. Given the importance of M&A to Bridgepointe’s strategy, the Corporate Development team will have day-to-day interaction with the Co-Founders, Board, and Executive Sponsors, as well as potential acquisition targets, Bridgepointe’s partner community, financial and legal advisors, etc.
 
THE CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER WILL:
  • Prepare financial analyses and valuation modeling to help decision makers assess the strengths and risks in a given M&A opportunity.

  • Lead and participate in all aspects of M&A including strategic analysis, valuation, and financial, sourcing, and operational due diligence.

  • Create presentation materials that effectively summarize strategic and financial analysis and key takeaways associated with an opportunity

  • Participate in the strategic planning process and other internal strategy discussions

  • Support post-merger integration activities, including tracking / reporting on integration progress, growth, applicable earnouts, etc.

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of acquisition prospects through proactive outreach and relationship building with potential targets and intermediaries.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFICIENCIES
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services, ideally with buyside or sellside M&A experience (banking, consulting, private equity, venture capital, transaction advisory services, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience in technology, internet, cloud services, SaaS, etc. is ideal (familiarity with the IT channel is highly beneficial but not requisite)
  • High degree of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in leveraging AI tools
  • Experience and passion for driving M&A processes including relationship-building, sourcing, business diligence, legal diligence, and contract negotiation
  • Enjoys prioritizing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
