AI Summary

The lead will be responsible for owning the end-to-end content strategy and editorial calendar across web, email, and social channels. This includes writing high-quality content such as thought leadership, case studies, and newsletters, while also building distribution systems and tracking performance.

About Rumi

Rumi helps institutions shift focus from final output to the learning process. Our flexible AI policy framework lets schools set AI guidelines at the assignment level—supporting independent work and collaborative projects instead of blanket policies.

The role

We’re hiring a Content & Community Lead to own Rumi’s voice end-to-end. You’ll write and publish content across channels, shape messaging, and consistently promote Rumi through thoughtful, educator-forward storytelling. This is a hands-on role for someone who can write exceptionally well and ship content that travels.

What you’ll do

  • Own Rumi’s content strategy and editorial calendar across web, email, and social

  • Write high-quality content: thought leadership, blog posts, case studies, newsletters, landing page copy

  • Create and publish social content (e.g., threads, short posts, visuals briefs) across key outlets

  • Turn product updates, educator stories, and research into clear, compelling narratives

  • Build lightweight distribution systems: repurposing, cross-posting, partnerships, and community engagement

  • Track performance and iterate (what resonates, what converts, what drives qualified inbound)

  • Collaborate with sales and founders to support launches, events, and outbound campaigns

What we’re looking for

  • Strong writing portfolio across marketing content and social (please include links)

  • Demonstrated ability to grow a channel or audience (not necessarily huge—just repeatable + intentional)

  • Ability to translate complex AI/education concepts into clear, human language

  • High ownership: you can run content without heavy process or constant direction

  • Strong editorial judgment and taste (you know what to publish—and what not to)

Nice to have

  • Experience writing for education, edtech, or developer/technical products

  • Comfort interviewing educators and turning conversations into publishable stories

  • Basic design/production fluency (e.g., Canva/Figma direction, simple video scripts, podcast/webinar support)

  • Newsletter experience and/or SEO fundamentals

Benefits

  • Competitive salary

  • Comprehensive health insurance

  • 15 days PTO annually

  • Flexible working hours

  • Redwood City office (in-person preferred; remote possible)

  • Professional development support
