Lead the operation, automation, and lifecycle management of regional laboratory and demonstration facilities to support sales and marketing. Act as a senior technical resource for strategic pre-sales engagements and proof-of-concept initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lab, Infrastructure & Automation (primary focus)
- Own the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of the regional laboratory, showroom, and demonstration facilities serving sales and marketing across Latin America.
- Design, deploy, and continuously optimize the lab’s compute, storage, networking, and virtualization fabric for high availability, performance, and security.
- Treat the lab as code: build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines to provision, version, and tear down repeatable demo and POC environments on demand.
- Automate routine operations: backups, snapshots, patching, environment resets, capacity and energy monitoring, and health checks. Enable tooling to accelerate operations, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate physical and virtual infrastructure; provide on-site support for cabling, device shipping logistics, and physical safety inspections.
- Maintain accurate, version-controlled documentation of all configurations, topologies, and changes.
Pre-Sales & Technical Enablement (supporting focus)
- Support strategic pre-sales engagements and key opportunities as a high-level regional technical resource, with emphasis on lab-backed demonstrations and POCs.
- Plan and execute proof-of-concept initiatives, on-site and remotely, using lab infrastructure to validate solution designs against customer requirements.
- Conduct technical meetings, presentations, and demonstrations for customers and partners, and act as a subject-matter expert in design reviews.
- Build demo guides and reusable assets that help field engineers and partners deliver faster, higher-quality demonstrations.
- Work with Product Management and Engineering to surface lab/demo requirements and help qualify features critical to Fortinet’s success.
- Provide training and mentorship to Systems Engineers and partners at regional events and within virtual teams.
Teamwork & Operating Cadence
- Operate within a distributed team, contribute to internal engineering communities, comply with activity reporting, and communicate proactively with the CSE Manager / Director. Domestic and international travel is required.
