JOB TITLE: SAP DATASPHERE and Foundry Senior Architect
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Regular Consultancy

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Under the direct supervision of the Head of ERP Platforms - TECD, the Consultant will be a key team member in the design, implementation, operation and optimization of the IT services and WINGS solutions to support WFP HQ and field offices worldwide. The SAP Datasphere and Foundry Senior Architect will work on WINGS related Projects, supervising the implementation of complex Datasphere data flows and managing external resources executing the technical design, the development and the test of the SAP functionality required to align the business improvement requirement not available through standard SAP functionality.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will be responsible for the following specific tasks:
•Supervise and provide technical guidance to resources belonging to external vendors, both near-shore and off-shore, and control the quality of their deliverables;
•Act as a focal point in all projects and TEC activities that require data analytics coming from the main SAP ECC / S/4HANA instances or the SAP Datasphere reporting engine;
•Provide support to project managers in writing Business Blueprint documents for reporting, in managing issues and risks, and support to the users in analysing the reporting business rules belonging to different systems, and then re-engineer them to be Datasphere compliant;
•Model and design data warehouse solutions based on SAP Dataspehre that allow near real-time and self-service reporting on financial (SAP FM, GM and PS) and operational data (COMET), and new corporate reports on Tableau and SAP Web Intelligence;
•Model hot and cold data temperature strategies, based on Business requirements;
•Analyse and optimise the impact of the reporting system performance;
•Coach junior resources involved in reporting and in technical analysis;
•Vendor management, including quality check on deliverables provided by external vendors;
•Present data model structure and processes in order to increase awareness and improve quality of reporting;
•Multi-stakeholders project management and practice: from business requirements analysis, ETL modelling and KPIs design, to end-to-end test and BI presentation layer implementation;
•Drive innovative technical solutions, overseeing the Business Analytics architectures, to model and understand WFP processes in the most effective way, including the exposure of SAP data to DOTS and API Gateway for greater data analysis capabilities and integration.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
•Extended Team management and Project management;
•Data modelling technical specification released;
•Data modelling released, tested and documented

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science (required) plus an advanced university degree (required) in data science, data modelling or business intelligence.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience with SAP Business Intelligence suite and minimum 5 years with SAP HANA, both in Consultancy or fast-paced data-driven organizations. SAP Certification in BusinessObjects or Web Intelligence and minumin 2 years with Foundry Platform.
Knowledge & Skills:
•Knowledge of the following SAP Analytics tool: SAP Datasphere, HANA, BI, BO;
•Deep understanding of integration technologies, such as Smart Data Access SDI, SLT; virtual data modelling, HANA Studio, BO Data Services; Web Intelligence; Tableau visualization tool;
•Data modelling, machine learning, deep learning;
•Excellent knowledge of Python, including machine learning libraries like Keras and TensorFlow;
•Knowledge of Big Data technologies and how integrate them with SAP Datasphere, HANA cloud, including extensive knowledge about DOTS and its related tools;
•Deep understanding of hot/cold data management;
•Demonstrated ability to analyse, troubleshoot and identify corrections for all technical objects;
•Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines;
•Good written and verbal communication skills;
•Good interpersonal skills;
•Available to travel, both in Italy or abroad.
Languages:
Fluency (level C) in English Language. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or WFP’s working language, Portuguese is a desirable. Proficiency in Italian is also an asset.
