Job Description

The Construction Loan Specialist manages the construction loan pipeline to ensure smooth, efficient financing operations. This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the disbursement of construction funds to borrowers and contractors, acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.

What you will do:

• Manage and support construction projects across the portfolio, ensuring all milestones are met.

• Review construction loans to verify that all approval conditions have been met according to established criteria. Partner with branches, borrowers, and general contractors to gather, verify, and execute all required documentation.

• Communicate effectively with the lock desk and branch teams regarding float-down timing.

• Process loan files with modified terms, ensuring borrower requalification when necessary and meeting all agency delivery requirements.

• Act as a subject matter expert to handle product inquiries and assist branches with pre-disclosure reviews for accurate construction term setup.

• Contribute to departmental goals, support a collaborative team culture, and perform other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in residential mortgage lending, with specific expertise in residential construction loans.

• Deep understanding of conventional, government (FHA/VA), and Jumbo loan requirements.

• Strong working knowledge of state and federal real estate lending regulations.

• Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize, track, and accomplish work goals.

• Experience leading or developing team initiatives and collaborative projects.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must have access to a quiet home office space and reliable high-speed internet.

Schedule: Must be able to work standard business hours within the Pacific Time Zone (PST).
