Company Partnerships Lead, Massachusetts

Boothby Therapy Services | Massachusetts (remote, in-state)

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Boothby Therapy Services (BTS) is a school-based special education staffing organization serving districts in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. In 2026, we are expanding our services to children in Massachusetts, and we are looking for the person to lead that effort on the ground.

This is a new role inside an established company. You will not inherit a book of business, a list of warm contacts, or a Massachusetts playbook. You will build all of that with the support of our Home Team and alongside our Business Development Lead and two existing Company Partnerships Leads. The person we hire will spend 2026 turning Massachusetts from zero school partners into a credible, durable foundation: building relationships with SPED leaders, learning the market deeply, securing contracts, and shaping how BTS shows up across the Commonwealth.

If you know the Massachusetts special education landscape, have real relationships with district leaders, and want to build something meaningful inside a mission-driven organization, keep reading.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Cultivate new relationships with Massachusetts SPED directors, collaboratives, and schools, focused on the priority geographies and disciplines we identify together.
  • Build and maintain our working knowledge of the Massachusetts landscape: collaboratives, pricing norms, key decision-makers, and competitive activity.
  • Secure Massachusetts school partnerships, negotiating contracts and rates that protect our target margin while pricing competitively for a new market.
  • Represent BTS at Massachusetts-relevant conferences and association meetings.
  • Coordinate with our Talent Strategy, Recruitment, and Service Delivery counterparts to ensure Massachusetts demand and supply remain aligned.
  • Report to the Chief Partnerships Officer on Key Indicators and contribute the Massachusetts perspective to our company's Sales Plan.
  • Build the Massachusetts-specific reference material that the team will rely on as we grow.

WHO YOU ARE

The right person is:

  • Massachusetts-based and willing to travel across the state.
  • Already operating inside Massachusetts special education with real, current relationships. You can name SPED directors, not just titles. Your contacts return your calls.
  • Experienced in selling, contracting, or business development into Massachusetts school districts (or doing comparable institutional sales work in education).
  • Comfortable building something from scratch, without a playbook to copy or infrastructure to lean on. You create structure rather than waiting for it.
  • Disciplined about pricing, margin, and contract negotiation. You know what protecting margin actually requires, and you do not discount your way to a yes.
  • A clear, plainspoken communicator, in writing and in person. You produce tight, professional client-facing communications without hand-holding.
  • Comfortable operating inside a CRM as a daily system of record, not an afterthought.

STRONG PLUSES

  • Prior experience as a SPED director or special education leader in a Massachusetts district
  • Experience with school-based therapy staffing or comparable work in special education
  • Existing relationships across multiple Massachusetts regions
  • Experience opening a state or regional presence for a multi-state organization
  • Familiarity with the Massachusetts collaborative landscape (CASE, ACCEPT, and others)
