WEX is seeking a self-driven and motivated individual to join our Commercial Legal team as a Commercial Paralegal. This role will be primarily responsible for supporting the commercial and transactional work of WEX’s Mobility lines of business in the Americas. As a new member of the team, the Commercial Paralegal will have the opportunity to utilize and enhance their subject matter experience in commercial contracts and transactional matters, particularly customer and revenue-generating agreements.

How You'll Make an Impact

The Commercial Mobility Paralegal will:

• Use the contract lifecycle management platform to prepare drafts of a wide variety of commercial contracts and amendments, including NDAs, customer contracts and other revenue generating agreements (credit agreements, program agreements, referral agreements, technology services agreements, and data sharing agreements) accurately and in compliance with all WEX policies and risk framework.
• Under attorney supervision, review customer requested changes to the contracts, work with designated attorneys and cross-functional stakeholders to collect feedback/approvals and revise applicable documents accordingly.
• Assist attorneys with the preparation, review and execution of various legal notices, correspondence, and other transaction documents, forms and filings in connection with the Mobility lines of business.
• Respond to internal requests for documentation, contract interpretation, and completing other legal administrative work (such as reviewing or preparing attestations or certificates of compliance)
• Assist in the migration of legacy contracts to the company’s new contract lifecycle management system (Malbek)
• Drive contracts from intake through workflow routing and version control, to execution and post-signing tasks through our contract lifecycle management system, including: obtaining all relevant information, create and redline contracts, route contracts for internal review and approvals, send contracts for signatures, and update the contract record as needed.
• Manage legal matter workflow, including managing the legal request queue for matter intake in the workload/matter management system (Xakia), interfacing with internal stakeholders and administrative tasks related to researching and completing matters for the Mobility legal team.
• Collaborate with other support functions, including Finance, Compliance and Risk.
• Assist with strategic projects as necessary.
• Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills and exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making.

Experience You'll Bring

• Education:  Paralegal degree or certification from an accredited program, or bachelor's degree, or Juris Doctorate.
• Experience: 5+ years of paralegal or equivalent experience with commercial contracts and transactional matters, including drafting and generating agreements, redlining, and reviewing contract revisions and comments, and contract management through the full contract lifecycle
• Experience with legal technologies (matter management and contract lifecycle management systems)
• Experience in the transportation, fuel, trucking, or factoring industries is not required, but preferred.
• Previous experience working in-house supporting one or more sales teams or similar customer-facing roles.
• Demonstrated ability to learn IT applications and systems
• Hard working, dependable, curious, proactive, resourceful, and consistently follow through
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills to effectively and independently prioritize and manage a heavy workload while accountable for work product.
• Ability to work as part of a team and to assist with coordinating input from cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Collaborative, flexible, adaptable and able to work across functions in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and DocuSign.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Pay Range: $38.70 - $49.30
