We are on the lookout for passionate Co-op QA Analysts to join our QA Team. You (yes, you!) will join East Side Games working on several titles, including “The Office: Somehow We Manage,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race Superstar” and “Trailer Park Boys: Greasy Money.”  Your contribution goes beyond writing test cases and supporting LiveOps content; you will be a champion for the end user and have an overall say in the direction and development of one of our most beloved titles, creating a world-class player experience. 

Please note that this is a 4-month student work placement open to students registered or enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary education institution, and legally entitled to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person.

WHAT YOU MIGHT DO IN YOUR DAY TO DAY:

  • Plan and test: Design test plans, write and execute test cases, ensuring our games run smoothly and meet our high quality standards.

  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Engineering, Game design, Production, Content, and Art to guide features through the agile lifecycle.

  • Elevate QA Craft: Shape our testing processes, manage bug backlogs and triage, and use key metrics and risk analysis to ensure top-notch quality.

  • Analyze performance: Use data and metrics (like FPS, CPU and load times) to identify risks and improve player experience on a variety of devices.

  • Advocate for players: Help steer feature design by ensuring player feedback is heard and addressed.

  • Support QA operations: Maintain documentation and collaborate with on-shore and off-shore teams to keep projects on track.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Attention to detail: To be able to find all those pesky bugs!

  • Meticulous and analytical; To troubleshoot, isolate, debug issues

  • Technical aptitude and problem solving: To tackle complex technical challenges.

  • Scripting or programming: To delve deeper into automated testing/tooling

  • A passion for gaming!!

Compensation Range: $41,500 -$47,500 CAD (prorated) per annum. Salary is determined by experience, skills, and capabilities.
