Earlston Academy is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineering & AI Instructor to join our instructor network and lead career-focused, cohort-based training.

This role is ideal for an experienced cloud engineer who is actively working with cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and AI technologies and wants to help students develop practical, job-ready skills.

What You'll Do

Create and maintain Cloud Engineering and AI course content.
Lead engaging live online sessions for assigned cohorts.
Teach practical cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and AI concepts.
Develop hands-on cloud projects, labs, exercises, and assessments.
Demonstrate real-world cloud architectures, deployments, automation, and AI solutions.
Teach students how to build, secure, deploy, monitor, and scale cloud environments.
Mentor students and provide constructive technical feedback.
Keep course content current with evolving cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and AI technologies.

Application

Applicants must submit a short video assessment demonstrating their ability to teach a cloud engineering or AI concept.

Requirements

Currently working as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Cloud AI Engineer, or closely related role.

7+ years of professional experience.

Current, relevant cloud or technology certification(s).

Strong professional experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, containers, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.

Professional experience working with AI, machine learning, LLMs, or AI-powered cloud solutions.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Teaching, mentoring, or technical training experience is preferred.

Reliable computer, webcam, microphone, and internet connection.

Compensation

Cohort-Based Contract Compensation

Course Content Development: $1,000–$3,000 per course, based on course scope and complexity.
Live Instruction: $45–$85 per instructional hour.
Student Support & Grading: Additional compensation based on cohort requirements.
Repeat Cohorts: Additional compensation for each subsequent cohort taught.
Compensation is based on experience, course complexity, content requirements, and cohort size.
