We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Cloud Administrator III to join a global leader in automation systems and solutions. This senior-level role is responsible for administering, securing, and continuously improving the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystem while serving as a technical leader for endpoint management, identity services, security operations, and compliance.
You'll analyze business requirements, propose solutions, and play a critical role in enabling a secure, productive, and modern employee experience across a hybrid workforce spanning multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 Platform Administration
- Administer and support the full Microsoft 365 E5 ecosystem (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, collaboration services)
- Manage licensing, provisioning, service health, and governance
- Support Teams Voice and collaboration technologies
- Lead modernization efforts to improve employee productivity and digital workplace experiences
Identity & Access Management
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity environments
- Manage Conditional Access policies, authentication methods, MFA, and identity security controls
- Support full lifecycle management (onboarding, role changes, offboarding, access reviews)
- Administer security groups, distribution groups, dynamic groups, and guest B2B collaboration
- Support passwordless initiatives including Windows Hello for Business and modern authentication
Endpoint Management & Device Administration
- Administer Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager platforms
- Design and maintain compliance policies, configuration profiles, security policies, Windows Update rings, and Autopilot deployments
- Manage Windows 11, Android, iOS, and macOS endpoints throughout their lifecycle
- Troubleshoot enrollment, compliance, provisioning, application deployment, and endpoint security issues
- Continuously improve automated provisioning and endpoint lifecycle processes
Security Operations & Microsoft Defender
- Administer Microsoft Defender technologies (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps)
- Investigate and respond to security alerts, incidents, suspicious activity, and endpoint-related risks
- Participate in vulnerability management and remediation efforts
- Develop endpoint hardening standards and security baselines
- Collaborate with IT leadership and security teams to improve organizational security posture
Compliance & Microsoft Purview Administration
- Support and administer Microsoft Purview compliance technologies (sensitivity labels, DLP, retention policies, audit logging, eDiscovery, data classification, Compliance Manager, Insider Risk Management)
- Support regulatory, audit, and governance initiatives
- Assist with documentation and evidence collection for compliance programs
- Help develop scalable processes for protecting company data while maintaining productivity
Microsoft Copilot Administration & Adoption
- Support governance and deployment of Microsoft Copilot technologies
- Manage licensing, assignment, usage monitoring, and administrative controls
- Monitor usage trends and recommend optimization strategies
Azure Administration
- Support administration of Microsoft Azure resources (virtual machines, storage accounts, Azure Backup, networking, monitoring)
- Assist with cloud modernization initiatives and hybrid infrastructure integration
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives
Infrastructure & Operational Support
- Serve as an escalation resource for complex Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint, and security issues
- Collaborate with Systems, Network, AI, and Cybersecurity teams on infrastructure and incident response
- Support Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP)
- Manage Hyper-V administration, business continuity, and disaster recovery
- Participate in after-hours maintenance as required
- Lead and coordinate disaster recovery initiatives
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Power Platform, and Azure automation
- Improve onboarding, offboarding, provisioning, patching, reporting, and operational workflows
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, standards, and procedures
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvements
- Mentor support staff and share technical expertise
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive IT experience with increasing responsibility for Microsoft technologies
- Minimum 3 years administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise or multi-site business environment
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft Defender
- PowerShell automation
- Windows endpoint management
- Experience supporting hybrid on-premises and cloud environments
- Strong troubleshooting methodology and root-cause analysis skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize competing priorities and manage multiple initiatives
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across IT, cybersecurity, and business teams
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance best practices
- Experience with Microsoft Purview administration
- Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Voice
- Understanding of modern endpoint management, Autopilot, endpoint security, and device compliance
- Familiarity with Azure administration, Windows Server, Hyper-V, identity governance, and ITIL service management
- PowerShell scripting experience (strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting Microsoft Copilot or AI-enabled productivity platforms
