WORK LOCATION:
This is a fully remote position.
- Occasional business travel (less than 20%) may be required for client engagements, team collaboration sessions, or organizational meetings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, public health, or related field required.
- 5 years of experience in healthcare strategy and innovation, with a focus on rural healthcare settings, access and population health.
- Experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Specialized expertise in areas such as telehealth, mental and behavioral health, chronic care management, etc.
- Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI for data visualization and strategic dashboard development.
- Proficiency with quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Experience using data to tell a story and drive executive-level decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to lead group discussions, extract insights, and drive collaborative decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience leading or facilitating strategic planning efforts including short and long term plans, preferably with rural health or community-based healthcare organizations.
- Comfortable working in consultative environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary leadership teams to design and execute strategic initiatives.
- Knowledge of healthcare policy, regulatory requirements, and best practices in rural healthcare delivery.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive initiatives to achieve measurable outcomes in population health improvement.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be service oriented.

Preferred
Master’s degree in health or business discipline (e.g., MHA, MPH, MBA) preferred
Formal training or certification in strategy development, quality/process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), or program evaluation preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Clinical Strategy Specialist will work closely with our strategic planning team to assist rural healthcare organizations in developing and implementing healthcare programs based on clinical expertise and evidence-based best practices. Specific duties include: Strategic Planning and Solution Development: - Collaborate with healthcare facility teams to assess organizational and current clinical practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize healthcare data systems to analyze trends, evaluate performance metrics, and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
- Develop innovative solutions and strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services and better meet community needs.
- Support the implementation of new protocols, guidelines, and technologies aimed at improving patient outcomes and care delivery.
- Foster strong relationships with healthcare facility teams, including physicians, nurses, administrators, and support staff.
- In collaboration with RHRC compliance team, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines related to implemented practices.
- Translate qualitative and quantitative data into actionable strategy recommendations for rural providers.
- In collaboration with Strategic Planning team, assist and Co-lead strategic planning retreats, facilitate stakeholder alignment sessions, and guide rural health leaders in developing multi-year as needed.
- Develop and facilitate strategic leadership workshops that empower rural health executives to implement transformation efforts.
- Leveraging RHRC’s online portal, monitor implementation of strategic and clinical plans on behalf of healthcare organizations, offering accountability and coaching as needed.
Education and Resource Development: - Develop educational materials, resources, tools, and content for online modules tailored to the needs of rural healthcare providers.
- Ensure educational content is evidence-based and aligns with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions – including workshops and presentations -- for hospital leaders, clinicians, ancillary staff, and other healthcare organizations in rural areas.
- Utilize adult learning principles to deliver engaging and effective education.
- Provide mentorship and support to participants to enhance their learning experience.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Track and report on training outcomes and participant progress.
Meeting attendance - Attend standing project-related meetings as needed.
- Attend other key meetings related to the RHRC as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Senior Community Health Strategist
WORK STATUS: Full-time, 37.5-hour workweek.
SALARY RANGE: $85,000-$95,000, dependent on experience.
