COG, a member of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN), is the world’s largest organization devoted exclusively to childhood and adolescent cancer research.  COG unites over 13,500 experts in childhood cancer at more than 220 leading children’s hospitals, universities, and cancer centers across the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia to conduct more than 50 active clinical trials, with approximately 9,500 participants registered each year in the fight against childhood cancer.

Position Summary 

All staff are employed through the Research Foundation. This role will be in service to COG.

The Clinical Data Transfer Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and data management support for the day-to-day operations for the department of Statistics Administration, Industry Sponsored Trials, and research teams. The main functions of this position include the following: coordination of data transfer documents and correspondence for clinical trial data transfers, support and management of post transfer query resolution, coordination of the NCTN/NCORP Data Archive activities.

The COG Research Foundation, LLC is a 100% remote employer, though some travel may be required.  Employee must reside within the United States.

Full salary range for this position: $64,542 to $92,421per year. The typical hiring range for this position is from $64,542 (minimum) to $78,482 (midpoint), based on 100% FTE. The starting salary is determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, as well as budget availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee data transfers for industry trial transfers, including material collections, processing database image requests, and tracking the process to meet transfer timelines.
  • Develop and maintain standard Data Transfer Specifications, with consultation from the Executive Director of Data Operations and the Director of Statistics.
  • In conjunction with Executive Director of Data Operations and the Director of Statistics, author and maintain data transfer SOPs and process documents.
  • Review and provide feedback on Clinical Trial Agreements and Data Transfer Agreements data transfer specifications and timelines, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • In collaboration with Industry Sponsored Trials department, perform data transfers per the data transfer specifications.
  • Coordinate and manage post transfer query resolution, including maintenance of query logs, meeting coordination, and subsequent transfers as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a standard query response library.
  • Coordinate NCTN/NCORP Data Archive submissions, including compilation of needed data tables, upload of data into the repository, query resolution and tracking of the process to meet required Data Archive timelines.
  • Assist with Statistics and Data Center administrative support projects, as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the Group Statistician and Director of Statistics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of administrative support and/or clinical research roles within a healthcare, research, or clinical trials organization.
  • Associate’s degree or substitute with two (2) additional years of related experience.

Other Qualifications

  • Research data management experience.
  • Ability to multitask while coordinating several projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to work with people at all levels within the organization and externally.
  • A self-starter, well organized, with good time and project management skills.
  • Strong commitment to customer service.
  • Possess a creative, collaborative, and problem-solving approach to work.
  • Intermediate to advanced user skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Exercises good judgment and maintains a high level of discretion.
  • Experience with coordinating conferences and meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
