About the Role

Client Involvement Manager

Full Time | 12 Months Fixed Term Contract | £39,080

Ready to turn lived experience into lasting change? We are looking for a passionate Client Involvement Manager to champion co-production and ensure the voices of young people and adults experiencing homelessness influence the services we deliver. You'll lead client engagement initiatives, develop peer-led opportunities, support our client-led group The Voice, and help embed meaningful involvement across the organisation.

You will be a skilled relationship-builder with experience in client engagement, co-production, capacity building and stakeholder collaboration. You'll be confident influencing at all levels, supporting staff and clients to work together, and creating opportunities that empower people to shape decisions and drive service improvement.

Please note that this job opportunity is offer as a full time (37.5 hour per week), 12months fixed term contract. In addition, this job offers the opportunity of working from any of our regions (London, Manchester or the North East); therefore, we welcome applications from different parts of the country.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and drive forward client involvement throughout Depaul UK

• Liaise and work with local and national client user forums, as appropriate, to develop joined-up consultation and engagement.

• Support, encourage and develop Depaul’s client led group (The Voice) so that all clients have the opportunity to get involved and ensure involved clients have a strong voice in decision making.

• Develop and implement a safe, effective and productive structure for Depaul clients involvement in various roles throughout Depaul services

• Create opportunities for client reps to grow within their roles and join Depaul U.K.'s alumni group. Oversee the development and execution of alumni engagement strategies, ensuring they align with Depaul U.K.'s mission and goals.

• Create comprehensive guidance documents to enable Depaul UK colleagues to fully support clients in involvement and request opportunities.

• Build effective relationships with clients and develop their capacity to influence all aspects of our work so that client involvement makes a real impact on our service delivery.

• Enhance and support Depaul colleagues and senior staff in recognisng the benefits of client involvement.

• Adhere to the Regulatory Framework for housing and Ofsted guidance for supported accommodation.

• To be an advocate for the benefits of client involvement and ensure this is embedded in our everyday work

• Act as a role model and ambassador for client involvement at all times, supporting/leading regional teams by helping them to develop their practice and skill in this area.

• Provide leadership and direction to key colleagues to further develop client involvement opportunities

• Manage a small case load of client representatives, ensuring they are supported throughout and beyond their role and that together you enhance decision making across the organisation

• Develop strategies for building strong relationships with our key stakeholders so that you are able to consider and implement engaging innovative client involvement opportunities

• As a confident communicator you will share information effectively with a diverse range of people, including clients, colleagues, senior managers and Depaul UK’s board of Directors.

• Create clear and concise reports for various audiences, including internal stakeholders.

• Attend Services Committee meetings to support the attendance of clients, and to present updates on the strategic direction of client involvement across the organisation to Executive Management and Trustees Monitor & evaluate the impact of involvement and ensure all regions accurately report on activities.

• Keep abreast of changes within the homelessness sector and update opportunities as necessary,

• You will undertake further duties as commensurate to the role, in line with Depaul Policies and Procedures and as identified by your line manager.


About You

• Experience of developing and supporting capacity building initiatives enabling clients to have a strong voice and influence

• Significant experience of engaging and involving clients through co-production

• Experience of upskilling and supporting staff.

• Ability to build key relationships with colleagues to develop opportunities

• Experience of developing and supporting beneficiaries of services to volunteer within its service

• Experience of using Risk Assessments and client databases

• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills

• Experience of operating safeguarding requirements and procedures

• Commitment to working in a manner, which promotes diversity and equality ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity and no one, suffers from discrimination.

• High level understanding of professional boundaries and ability to maintain boundaries

• Ability to effectively reflect on own practices for ongoing learning and development

• Respect for the values and ethos of Depaul and its founding partners.
