MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

 

The Chapter Services Coordinator is a full-time, remote position serving the NASW chapters of Colorado, Utah, Montana, and Idaho, reporting jointly to two Executive Directors. This role supports the day-to-day operations of all four chapters, with primary responsibilities spanning member communications, continuing education programming, event planning and management, and member engagement. The Coordinator also provides administrative and financial support to help sustain chapter operations across multiple states, and contributes to advocacy efforts at the state level. This position requires a highly organized, collaborative professional who is comfortable working across multiple organizational contexts simultaneously.

 

BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with existing chapter staff and volunteers to generate and disseminate organizational communications including monthly member newsletter, social media, and website information to NASW members and Social Work community
  • Facilitates all continuing education offerings and recruit and coordinate speakers for continuing education events and conferences
  • Develop and manage all program and event promotional materials, marketing, registration, evaluation, CEUs, contracting, invoicing and financial recordkeeping, and events
  • Plan and manage implementation of virtual and in-person events, including but not limited to: workshops; Annual Conference; and statewide networking.
  • Coordinates the logistics of the annual chapter elections and awards processes with an emphasis on updating webpages, creating social media, and recruiting volunteer leadership
  • Assists with the planning of the Social Work Advocacy Day (SWAD)/Lobby Day and helps coordinate with lobbyists
  • Provides administrative support for the annual chapter conferences 
  • Develop and coordinate innovative member engagement strategies that improve member retention. This includes overseeing outreach to lapsing members, coordinating welcome calls/messages to new members and periodic member check-ins.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director on management of financial reporting.
  • Prepare and submit payables and receivables documentation for payment and reconciliation.
  • Manage and order office supplies as needed, including orders for print jobs for conferences, workshops, and events.

 

MINIMUM WORK REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (social work or related field preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Google Suite, Constant Contact, Slack, Zoom, and other programs, and ability to learn new software

 

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ administrative experience preferred
