We are currently seeking a Centralized Billing Generalist to join our team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Centralized Billing Generalist to manage billing, claim submission and collections processes across government-funded programs, financial assistance programs, private insurers, and third-party payers. This is a remote-based position. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage billing and claim submission processes for government-funded programs, financial assistance programs, third-party payers, and private insurance providers.

• Track applications, claims, and submissions requiring follow-up.

• Collaborate with clinic teams, healthcare providers, physicians' offices, sleep labs, and external partners to obtain documentation.

• Resolve documentation, eligibility, billing, and submission issues.

• Investigate and resolve rejected claims, discrepancies, denials, and payment issues.

• Complete collection efforts related to outstanding accounts receivable.

• Maintain accurate and organized billing documentation.

• Communicate with government agencies, insurers, and third-party payers.

• Generate reports on remittances, accounts receivable, claim status, and reimbursement trends.

• Conduct audits of billing practices, insurance verification, and collections activities.

• Stay informed of funding, billing, and insurance policy changes.

• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and efficiency.

What you bring:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing, healthcare reimbursement, insurance claims processing, or a related field.
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Medical Office Administration, or related discipline preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare billing processes and reimbursement practices.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is an asset.
