ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Support company Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives focused on establishing "One Best Way" by evaluating and validating data, aligning and formalizing best practices, and developing functional tools and training materials. 
  • Build and help deploy a standardized WF flour blending program/tool, including appropriate governance and training support, with the goal of reducing protein variability and improving flour blending variance. 
  • Develop centerlining support tools and guidance to help improve key performance metrics, including USDT, changeover, startup, and OEE. 
  • Support DVM/Excellence Team/CE data alignment in Monday.com. 
  • Support the WIN NW Packer/BSM pack center-lining program. 
  • Assist with key process standardization and alignment, including critical process and SOP evaluation, organization, and alignment. 
  • Provide primary project support, data analysis and visualization, and DVM/KPI development support for assigned CI initiatives. 
  • Participate in regular check-ins with the primary supervisor and provide updates on progress, risks, and support needed. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • A team player with a strong customer-oriented attitude, interpersonal skills, and ability to work well in a multicultural workplace. 
  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities with strong follow-through. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Comfortable working with data, process documentation, and practical problem solving. 
  • Access to reliable internet and proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Travel availability for project support and site visits as needed. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, information technology, or a related field, or active progress toward a related degree. 
  • Coursework or practical experience related to continuous improvement, data analysis, process improvement, operations, or manufacturing is preferred. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

English fluency is essential. The successful candidate must have strong verbal and written English communication skills. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

The candidate must be comfortable working with basic mathematical concepts and applying concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Data analysis and visualization experience is helpful. 

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • Experience or interest in CI tools, root cause/corrective action (RCCA), standardized process development, and visual management standards. 
  • Ability to work with AX/Power BI, SharePoint/QSM, Teams, BSM email, Monday.com, and related business systems as access is provided. 
  • Ability to learn quickly, ask clarifying questions, and translate business needs into practical tools, documentation, and process support.

This position is generally remote/corporate in nature, though the intern may visit manufacturing locations where they may be exposed to noise, dust, and industrial machinery. Blending and centerlining project support may require at least 1-2 site visits.
