Brevy started with a simple belief: America’s elderly deserve to age at home, gracefully and with dignity. We help seniors discover and enroll in Medicaid benefits, pair them with care advocates, and enable their family members to become paid, reliable caregivers.
When we proved this model in Texas, we spent countless hours on the phone with Health and Human Services, untangled complex waiver programs, and learned how Managed Care Organizations actually operate. Out of that work, we hired advocates to support patients with the enrollment process. Today, thousands of family members use our platform to become paid caregivers for their loved ones. This not only cuts government spending by reducing nursing home and hospital stays, but also allows seniors to age safely at home while providing meaningful financial support to their family caregivers.
At the same time, this space faces widespread fraud, threatening the future of these vital programs. We actively combat this by pairing rigorous operational guardrails with AI-powered compliance systems. By ensuring integrity at every step, we protect Medicaid resources so they remain available for America’s growing aging population.
We are ready to expand this playbook to the rest of the country to shape the broader eldercare space.
We're looking for compassionate, dependable Care Advocates to help older adults and their families access the care, benefits, and resources they need.
A major focus of this role is helping families navigate Medicaid enrollment and programs that allow eligible family members to be paid for providing care. You'll help people understand their options, work through application processes, connect with the right resources, and take the next steps toward getting the support they need.
You'll also provide general care navigation support, helping individuals with healthcare questions, insurance coverage, community resources, and other challenges that can make accessing care difficult.
This is a fully remote, part-time independent contractor opportunity offering we provide training, clear workflows, and the tools you need to get started.
You're someone who genuinely enjoys helping people. You're patient, a good listener, and comfortable talking with older adults and their families, especially when they're confused or overwhelmed by a complicated process.
You're organized enough to keep track of multiple conversations and follow-ups, and you're comfortable learning new systems and procedures. You don't need to know every answer, but you know how to ask good questions, find information, and recognize when to ask for help.
You:
Communicate warmly, clearly, and patiently over the phone.
Enjoy helping people navigate challenges and understand their options.
Are dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
Can simplify complex information and explain it clearly.
Are comfortable with technology and learning new systems.
Exercise sound judgment and know when to escalate concerns.
Work independently, manage cases, and follow through on commitments.
Are eager to learn about Medicaid, family caregiving programs, and healthcare resources.
Support older adults and caregivers with Medicaid enrollment, renewals, benefits, and family caregiving programs.
Help individuals understand requirements, gather documentation, navigate next steps, and resolve administrative barriers.
Connect patients and families with healthcare, insurance, community resources, transportation, and other nonclinical support.
Manage assigned cases, conduct follow-up, and escalate complex questions or concerns appropriately.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in care navigation systems.
Follow established workflows and privacy, security, and confidentiality requirements.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills.
Comfortable supporting older adults, caregivers, and families by phone.
Able to work independently, use good judgment, and learn new systems.
Basic computer proficiency with reliable internet and a private workspace.
Available at least 10 hours per week, primarily during weekday business hours.
Experience in customer service, healthcare, patient advocacy, social services, benefits navigation, or a related field.
Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, public benefits, or care coordination.
Experience supporting older adults, people with disabilities, or family caregivers.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Prior healthcare experience or certifications are not required. Training and resources will be provided.
If you're interested in helping older adults and their families navigate healthcare and access the benefits they need, we'd love to hear from you.
