A leading entertainment and gaming creative agency is seeking a highly skilled Capture Director to support their dynamic team. This is a hybrid role local to LA, 2 month contract and 40 hours a week with potential for overtime as well. The position involves leading gameplay capture efforts for major Call of Duty projects, collaborating with creative and technical teams to produce cinematic marketing content. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to high-profile gaming campaigns.
*Capture Director Responsibilities:*
* Lead and oversee a team of capture technicians and artists to produce premium in-game footage for trailers, social content, and campaigns.
* Develop shot lists and strategic capture plans highlighting key gameplay moments aligned with marketing goals.
* Create cinematic gameplay footage by applying expertise in composition, lighting, camera operations, and storytelling.
* Partner closely with creative leadership, producers, and editors to ensure high-quality asset delivery.
* Manage gameplay capture sessions across single-player and multiplayer modes, troubleshooting hardware, software, and game builds as needed.
*Capture Director Qualifications:*
* Recent and proven experience capturing gameplay for Call of Duty titles is a must
* Track record of leading capture teams and directing capture artists and technicians.
* Strong skills in visual storytelling, cinematography, and camera control.
* Proficiency in gameplay composition, pacing, and cinematic language.
* Experience working within AAA game environments, with knowledge of capture, editing, and post-production workflows.
* Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and start immediately.
* Los Angeles-based candidate preferred.
