The Business Systems Analyst will lead complex application projects, serving as a subject matter expert to coordinate teams and ensure technology solutions meet business needs. They are responsible for gathering requirements, performing data analysis, managing testing processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance across enterprise initiatives.

CTG is seeking to fill a Business Systems Analyst V opening for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 9 months
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead complex application projects from proposal through implementation and post-implementation.
Develop functional specifications, test plans, test cases, data mappings, estimates, and project documentation.
Serve as functional lead and subject matter expert for assigned applications, coordinating project teams, meetings, milestones, and deliverables.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate application impacts, and ensure technology solutions support business and customer needs.
Analyze complex data, interfaces, and system dependencies using SQL, data validation, data lineage, and root-cause analysis.
Support consumer lending and ACAPS processes, including loan origination, underwriting, credit bureau processing, decisioning, booking/funding, and operational workflows.
Coordinate functional, integration, regression, and automation testing; identify opportunities to improve test coverage and release quality.
Collaborate with technical teams and vendors on application functionality, integrations, implementations, and system changes.
Monitor scope, change requests, regulatory requirements, testing issues, and implementation activities to ensure timely resolution and compliance with technology standards.
Support enterprise initiatives such as acquisitions, system conversions, regulatory changes, and major product or service changes.
Mentor less experienced staff through application training, research, analysis, and project methodology guidance.
Conduct post-implementation reviews, resolve outstanding issues, and compare actual project timelines and financials against plan.
Identify and escalate risk-related issues and maintain internal control, audit, regulatory, and corporate technology standards.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Serve as a senior functional lead and subject matter expert across complex, enterprise-level initiatives.
Coordinate across business units, applications, testing teams, vendors, and technology stakeholders.
Analyze upstream and downstream impacts of system changes, integrations, conversions, and business initiatives.
Promote shift-left quality practices, continuous testing, automation, and early defect detection.
Manage multiple complex projects while maintaining scope, quality, regulatory compliance, and delivery timelines.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
May mentor and provide guidance to less experienced analysts and project team members.
May serve as Test Coordinator for large initiatives involving multiple applications.
Lead project meetings and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams; no direct personnel management required.
Education and Experience Required:
Minimum 6 years of combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics experience.
Strong experience with consumer lending and ACAPS domains, including loan origination, underwriting, decisioning, credit bureau processing, booking/funding, and queue management.
Strong knowledge of data mapping, data lineage, interface analysis, SQL, data validation, root-cause analysis, and system impact analysis.
Experience with API, file-based, and message-based integrations.
Experience developing functional specifications, test strategies, test cases, test data, and regression testing.
Knowledge of test automation, API/integration testing, CI/CD validation, and automation opportunities for legacy and manual workflows.
Strong verbal and written communication, organization, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Proficiency with personal computers and applicable software packages.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor's degree.
Subject matter expertise with supported business applications and integrated systems.
Advanced understanding of application frameworks, development platforms, and interfacing applications.
Experience supporting acquisitions, conversions, or other enterprise-wide system initiatives.
Experience coordinating complex projects across multiple applications and business units.
Ability to present effectively to all levels of management and work independently or collaboratively.
Strong project management, multitasking, solution development, and organizational skills.
Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to recognize project milestones and delivery requirements.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $35.88 - $59.80/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
