About Calo (more here)

Calo is an app providing personalized meal plans for busy people through nutritional algorithms, built with love by chefs, nutritionists, and software engineers.

Launched in Bahrain in 2019, we have since expanded to 6 countries, delivered millions of meals to our customers, and are now expanding our mission of making healthy easy to retail and other verticals.

We're on a noble mission to make healthy easy. We think this is one of the most important problems to tackle in our world today. We have global ambitions - no small thinking here.

About the Calo Fellowship

The Calo Fellowship is a one-year, full-time program designed to give exceptional early-career talent the opportunity to learn by doing.

Whether you've recently graduated from high school or university, this Fellowship is built for people with potential, not necessarily experience. You'll spend a year solving real business problems, building meaningful projects, and learning alongside some of the brightest people at Calo.

This isn't an internship or a job-shadowing program.

You'll be trusted with real ownership from day one.

Throughout the year, you'll experience Calo from multiple perspectives. For the first two weeks of every month, you'll rotate across different teams to understand how the business operates end-to-end. During the second two weeks, you'll focus on your main track, working closely with your Sponsor and Mentor to deliver projects that create lasting impact.

The Fellowship concludes with Showcase Day, where you'll present everything you've built and learned to Calo's leadership team.

About the Role

As an Operations & Growth Fellow, you'll join our Project Management Track, working at the heart of one of Calo's fastest-growing business verticals.

This is one of the most cross-functional roles in the Fellowship.

You'll work alongside leaders responsible for growing our On Demand business across multiple markets, gaining exposure to everything from operations and marketing to commercial strategy, supply, expansion, and customer experience.

No two days will look the same.

One day you might be helping launch a new initiative. The next, you'll be coordinating stakeholders across multiple teams, analyzing operational performance, or solving challenges that directly impact the customer experience.

You'll become someone who connects people, drives execution, and helps turn ideas into reality.

If you enjoy variety, love solving problems, and want to understand how a fast-growing company scales, this role is for you.

What you'll be working on

  • Support the planning and execution of cross-functional projects across the On Demand business.

  • Coordinate with teams across Operations, Marketing, Commercial, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and other functions.

  • Track project timelines, priorities, and deliverables to ensure initiatives move forward.

  • Analyze operational data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience.

  • Help launch new initiatives, processes, and business improvements across multiple markets.

  • Prepare project updates, presentations, and recommendations for key stakeholders.

  • Take ownership of projects from planning through execution and delivery.

What we're looking for

We're not looking for years of experience.

We're looking for future operators and leaders.

You'll likely be a great fit if you:

  • Recently graduated from high school or university.

  • Have little or no professional experience but are excited to learn.

  • Love organizing projects, people, and ideas.

  • Naturally take ownership and enjoy making things happen.

  • Are curious about how businesses operate and grow.

  • Communicate clearly and confidently with different people.

  • Enjoy solving problems and thinking critically.

  • Can manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail.

  • Thrive in fast-moving environments where every day is different.

Experience with Google Workspace, Notion, Excel, project management tools, or AI tools is a plus, but absolutely not required.

The kind of person who thrives at Calo

At Calo, we hire for mindset first.

Our Fellows are people who:

  • Stay curious.

  • Learn fast.

  • Take ownership.

  • Care deeply about the quality of their work.

  • Solve problems instead of waiting for someone else to.

  • Are comfortable with change and enjoy moving quickly.

  • Support the people around them and celebrate team success.

  • Show humility, resilience, and a genuine desire to grow.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.

Who can apply?

We're looking for exceptional people, wherever they are.

We welcome applications from:

  • Recent high school graduates.

  • Recent university graduates.

  • Candidates with little to no professional experience.

  • Applicants based in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, or Oman, where the Fellowship can be completed in a hybrid setup.

  • Exceptional candidates from anywhere else in the world who are excited to join us remotely.

  • English speakers, Arabic speakers, or bilingual candidates. You're welcome to apply in whichever language you're most comfortable using.

How to apply

Your application is more than a CV, we'd love to get to know you.

Along with your resume, we'd encourage you to include something that helps your personality shine.

This could be:

  • A short video (1–2 minutes) introducing yourself and telling us why you're excited about the Fellowship.

  • A project you've led, organized, or helped bring to life, whether at school, university, work, or in your community.

  • A portfolio, presentation, personal website, or anything else that showcases your initiative, problem-solving, or leadership.

Don't worry about having the "perfect" application.

We're not looking for the most experienced candidate, we're looking for people with the curiosity to learn, the courage to take ownership, and the ambition to build something meaningful.
