Position Purpose: Analyzes, executes, and reviews bulk requests for claims automation, including validating eligibility for automation, to ensure accuracy of claims data upon project completion. Reviews, investigates, adjusts/resolves claims, claims appeals, inquiries, and payment inaccuracies. Provides day-to-day support for internal and external customers with automation questions/issues and escalated requests. Supports analysis and documentation activities under guidance, including basic data validation and process documentation.

  • Execute bulk claims automation requests using established procedures; validate automation eligibility and results.
  • Perform claims review, investigation, adjustment, and resolution for claims, appeals, inquiries, and payment discrepancies.
  • Support automation maintenance activities (updates/config changes) with guidance; follow documented standards.
  • Perform basic data validation and analysis (Excel and/or entry level SQL) to confirm automation outcomes and identify exceptions.
  • Assist in documenting workflows, job aids, and process steps, capture notes for current state and proposed changes.
  • Identified errors are corrected.
  • Support requirements gathering by collecting inputs, clarifying operational needs, and documenting outcomes.
  • Respond to automation questions/issues from internal and external customers; escalate appropriately.
  • Participate in testing activities (UAT support, regression checks) and post implementation validation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. 1–3 years of claims-related experience in claim processing, claims payment support, medical billing, or claims operations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Automation tool experience (Macro Express) and technical aptitude preferred. Exposure to SQL (beginner) preferred or willingness to learn.

Pay Range: $19.43 - $32.98 per hour
