Job Description
This Broker Sales Executive position focuses on prospecting, recruiting and operationalizing brokerages,
retail agencies and producers to maximize Ahoy! Insurance’s sales nation-wide. You will be working with
agency principals, marketing managers and individual producers to drive profitable new business for
Ahoy! through their organizations. You will be measured on new business revenue written on a monthly,
quarterly and annual basis as well as the economics of this new business and the business renewal rate.
You will receive a competitive base salary and incentives based upon hitting and exceeding KPIs related
to the growth goals. This partner-facing role is fast-paced and an ideal fit for goal-oriented, hardworking
individuals looking to make a difference.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Develop and maintain highly active commercial relationships with insurance agents and brokers

who have large scale Recreational Boating Insurance Personal Lines portfolio and are seeking to

add Recreational Boating insurance product to their offering

● Hit new sales, renewals, and business economics goals related to those channels

● Partner with product leadership, marketing and underwriting to coordinate the education,

communication and execution of these relationships and their outcomes

● Meet established partner service metrics

● Understand the competitive Recreational Boating insurance marketplace and provide product

and pricing feedback to further develop the Ahoy! offering and optimize production

● Create tools, processes, approaches, knowledgebase, best practices, and anything else needed

so to support the establishment of an Agent Sales team

● As the company grows and if appropriate grow a team of Sales Execs to replicate your success in

a structured manner

Skills and Qualifications

● Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in selling personal lines insurance products through agents

and brokers, preferably in the Recreational Marine space

● Excellent and proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales goals in the above-mentioned

capacity

● Excellent sales presentation skills and proven track record of generating business from scratch

based on such presentations 

Entrepreneurial mindset - flourishing in unstructured environments with high level of

uncertainty and need to deliver results

● P&C license – must

● E&S license – an advantage
