The Broker Relationship Manager (BRM) plays a critical role in supporting Humana’s distribution strategy by developing, managing, and growing relationships with local brokers and channel partners across the Greensboro and Winston-Salem markets. This position serves as a trusted partner to brokers, enabling them to successfully represent Humana’s Medicare products and deliver exceptional experiences to members and prospects.
The BRM operates with a high degree of independence, managing moderately complex to complex situations while driving local market growth through strategic relationship management, training, and sales enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with local brokers, agencies, and partner organizations within the assigned North Carolina market
- Drive membership growth by supporting broker sales activities and cultivating new and existing partner relationships
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and enablement to brokers on Humana products, compliance requirements, and sales best practices
- Partner with brokers on community engagement efforts, marketing activations, and sales events to expand market presence
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new broker partners to strengthen Humana’s distribution network
- Support brokers throughout the sales lifecycle, including presentations, proposals, and troubleshooting member or prospect issues
- Analyze market trends, broker performance, and sales data to inform strategies and improve outcomes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, compliance, operations) to support broker success
- Participate in local events, meetings, and community outreach to build brand awareness and relationships with providers and community stakeholders
- Influence local market strategy and contribute insights to broader departmental initiatives

Required Qualifications
- Active North Carolina Health Insurance License OR ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- 2+ years of experience in the Medicare industry
- Prior sales or broker-facing experience with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets
- Prior experience building strong relationships and partnerships with community organizations and healthcare providers
- Prior experience partnering external partners (brokers/agency) with training, coaching, and influencing.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and meet Humana’s driver safety requirements (including insurance minimums of 100/300/100 and MVR review)
- Must currently reside in Greensboro/Winston-Salem NC area or willing to relocate.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% locally across the Greensboro/Winston-Salem region
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Bilingual (Spanish, Korean, Chinese, or other languages relevant to local market)
- Experience working with broker distribution channels or partner networks
- Previous experience in training, onboarding, or sales enablement

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$70,000 - $95,500 per year
This job is eligible for a commission incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
